"Smartsheet helps my team, and I stay on track and organized."
What do you like best about Smartsheet?
The thing I like most about Smartsheet is being able to tag people in sheets and that it notifies them via email. This helps keep team projects organized and team members up to date on the steps everyone needs to complete in one, organized location.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
I would say the only downsides I've really experienced is that people outside of our main team who aren't regular Smartsheet users are intimidated by it and end up not using it. So projects with those team members look more disorganized and have files and tasks in multiple locations.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem our team had before using Smartsheet was having shared projects and project materials in several locations. Even if the assets were shared among the team, it would be hard to see who updated the project materials and when. Smartsheet solved that problem by creating a central location for all of our project management materials where we can easiliy monitor material updates and communicate to our teammates via the comments section. It's simple design also helps us easily create and customize new sheets, while also being easier to the eye than other "sheet" applications like google sheets or microsoft excel.

Smartsheet has been a game-changer for our team! We absolutely love the collaborative features, which have transformed how we work together.
Since adopting Smartsheet, it’s been the best investment we’ve made post-COVID. It has saved us countless hours by eliminating the need for constant follow-ups and manual updates. The intuitive interface and real-time updates keep everyone aligned and focused, making our projects run smoother than ever.
I love the fact that we have mutiple options to share with the sheets with outsiders and team members with variable access rights and each access and change gets logged.
Highly recommend this tool for any team looking to boost productivity and collaboration!
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
Pricing could be more flexible, as we’re unable to extend it to more team members due to affordability.
A few premium features can be made free or at least more affordable.

Smartsheet is solving our biggest challenges around team collaboration, task tracking, and project updates. It eliminates the inefficiency of back-and-forth emails and constant follow-ups, providing real-time visibility into project statuses.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
What I appreciate most about Smartsheet is its user-friendly interface and intuitive design, making it an excellent collaboration tool. Smartsheet is mobile-friendly and cloud-based, and the recently added AI features have been a fantastic enhancement. My team and I frequently use WorkApps for our client dashboards and metrics, significantly improving our workflow and data visualization. Additionally, the ease of integration and implementation when building a dashboard is outstanding.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
One significant drawback of Smartsheet is its steep learning curve for new users. While the interface is user-friendly, the extensive range of features and functionalities can be overwhelming for beginners. This can lead to a longer onboarding process and may require additional training to fully utilize the platform’s capabilities.
However, Smartsheet offers multiple ways to gain knowledge and support, including a comprehensive YouTube channel and an active community forum, which can help users get up to speed more quickly.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I have been using Smartsheet for the past five years, and it has evolved into an indispensable tool for us. The solutions we’ve implemented with Smartsheet have had a tremendous impact on our company. We needed software to track our daily deliverables, ensure constant updates, facilitate collaboration, and attach files—all in a cloud-based environment. Smartsheet met all these needs and more. A few months after we launched Smartsheet, a client requested a Key Performance Indicator report. Using our Smartsheet tracker, my team created a metric dashboard, which we presented to the Director. He was thoroughly impressed.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
I recently attended smartsheet engage in seattle and got to know some awesome aspects of using smartsheet. The recent updates like smartsheet collections and integration of AI to generate formulas is really commendable.
I like to use smartsheet for it's complex data management and automation feature to keep track of my subcontractors and pending process and approval.
If I will elaborate tool wise, It's simple and have great features that make definitely fall in love with.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
I don't have such dislikes but one thing is there that it takes a little bit time to update the sheets for my collegues after saving. If this could be autosaving then it might be great.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us to keep our team alerted for tasks and deadlines with real-time collboaration. We are creating various project management easy to use solutions for organization with smartsheet that is helping them to streamline their process.
Good feature for my case is the automation. Smartsheet’s automation features are good to get approval and elimanate manual tasks like sending notifications and updating statuses.
Visually attractive Dashboards and third party integration are another reasons for why we are using smartsheet.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
The most unique and valuable feature of Smartsheet is how well it allows users to create links across multiple sheets. These sheets can hold very complex formulas and tons of data, and Smartsheet still has no problem linking them together seamlessly.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
I wish there were a wider variety of graph types available to plug right into dashboards. While the current graphs cover all the primary use types (and does it very well), the complexity of data in a lot of my sheets (that's in there because Smartsheet handles all the complex data so well) is often hard to represent with the current dashboard graph offerings.
Recommendations to others considering Smartsheet:
If you are looking for a tool that combines all the best elements of MS Excel and Project, is versatile enough to support waterfall or agile projects, and has a ton of great ways for you to visualize data, I highly recommend Smartsheet. It does require some sort comfort or familarity with datasets or excel-type sheets for everyone using it, but it's so worth it for what you get.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily solve Project Management related problems. This includes project tracking and scheduling, risk repository boards, and related documentation. Since using Smartsheet, the amount of time required to simply gather information has been reduced significantly. Instead of spending time tracking down numbers and asking individuals for updates, Smartsheet does all that for me. Now, I have a lot more time to solve genuine project problems instead.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
Each new feature Smartsheet has introduced has made my job easier. As someone who multi-tasks, having the ability to manage all my projects on ONE program has been instrumental. I can talk to my coworkers from the app on specific project tasks, make visual dashboards and manage projects all from SmartSheets. My dashboard has been a great resource for other teams and the reports make it so easy to create! All of thier features have a detailed description on how to use and they now have an AI feature that is awesome and easy to learn! I love that you can be as high-level or detailed as you wish, and everything is very user-friendly. For specific questions, I can contact the SS Team and get a reply within 1-2 business days! Smartsheets is part of my daily workflow routine and I can't imagine project management without it.

Report filtering has not been the easiest as some options dont appear to filter.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had many applications for different projects and data which made it difficult to manage. Smartsheet has been able to combine the visual components of graphs, task management and overall project management into easy steps. All users can access the project sheet and check for status and assignments. This not only improves efficiency but allows for all team members to be informed of progress. I also love that I have a visual dashboard these can be easily lost or forgotten and having it here allows it to shine!

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
Smartsheet has allowed me to take my to-do list and run with it in a way that I didn't think would be possible. I relied on writing out my daily tasks every day at work, but with Smartsheet, I'm able to run through my emails and set up my to-do with ease. I also love the colloboration features, as my colleagues and I are able to stay connected on specific tasks and projects by sharing with each other, being able to upload documents and having conversations through the app which makes the entire process much easier. I use this app every day and can't see myself not using it anymore.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
There's not much I don't like about Smartsheet. The app has soooo many features that I haven't been able to look into all of them or get a full understanding of what the app can do in it's entirety. But, with that said, I don't really need those features for my job. Smartsheet does offer "university" classes to get to know the app more which is great, but I think scheduling 1 on 1 time with a trainer is best becuase they can hear your needs and direct you to tools on the app that would best suit you and your company.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is overall helping me fine tune how I want to set up my to-do lists. It's amazing that I can set up a task and assign it to either myself or a colleague. I also love that you can keep track of duration of tasks. All in all, Smartsheet is helping me stay stable in my work environment by keeping me on track with the tasks I set up which then helps keep proper work flow in the office.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
During a year we have extenssively implemented SS.
Best think is that everything stored in one place, we don't have to surf around for schedules that were made quite a time ago. another good thing that i can involve project team into planing review and they can update progress directly . And finally SS provides additional posibilities to crate forms for reporting and infor exchange.
Use SS every day and we even managed to integrate SS with our internal Task Manager system which is based on sharepoint.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
Two things that I would say is a must to implement:
1. When change project schedule line other linked activities that shifted accordingly shall be highlighted until SAVE or next change (as it works in MS project). Now it is extremely not convinient to find all the activites that has been changed in the schedule after adjustment of 1 single line
2. WBS phases showing hierarchy without complicated formula

Smartsheet helps us to avoid spending time on double reporting (instead of reporting to me and then me transferring data into schedule, team members report directly to SS)
"Save your time in developing templates and automations"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?
The best thing about Smartsheet is its features like Data Mesh, Data Shuttle and other automations. It is quite user friendly to set up the data meshes and data shuttles with a straight forward flow.
It is easy to connect and integrate with Slack, Gmail or interact through python scripts.
We can track the Activity Log to see what changes were made and by whom, which can further be downloaded in an excel to revert changes if needed. Hence, the changes are never lost.
Dashboards are easy to work with, though there aren't many fancy or cosmetic options that we can play around with, but it serves the basic purpose which I believe is sufficient from a professional front.
I have been using Smartsheet for the last 18 months and so far there hasn't been a need for me to reach out to the customer support. Things are always in place or even if there is any functionality not working, by the time I get to know it, it is already posted on status.smartsheet and being worked upon. Thus, even if something is not working, we can always visit this site and check the status, which I find is a cool support feature by keeping us informed.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
Row and cell limit has been a downside because when a Smarsheet overflows, we need to create a secondary sheet to store the data which in turn results in amending the dependent automations and scripts. Even while exporting the data, there is a limitation. Can't paste more than 500 rows of data.
Sometimes the Smartsheets lags when working with large data. Example, if we have a large amount of data along with some validations or formating, even a simple task like popping the search dialogue box (ctrl+f) takes many seconds. Once the search dialogue box is open then the search function is smooth and quick.
After I have started using Smartsheet, I have been using the mouse and trackpad more often, maybe I'm yet to explore and try the shortcuts in Smartsheet or I got too used to MS products. Just kidding!! This is not what I dislike, but something to be considered when folks switch from MS or similar products to Smartsheet.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep our data in the Smartsheet which is later interacted through some python scripts to perfrom the subsiquents tasks. Since the data is online, there is less dependancy and ease of processing.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?
Smartsheet makes collaborating with my colleages a breeze. We can all work on the same sheets and see each other's updates in real time. Automated updates and notifications are very helpful. Smartsheet helps us keep our data organized and current.
What do you dislike about Smartsheet?
I love all that Smartsheet has to offer but I would like to see some features to improve accessibility for those that may have a disabilty or some imparement that makes spreadsheets hard to use. For example, Smartsheet does not work well with built in tools in Windows for accessibility (Magnifier, Narrator). There could be some readability improvemnts. Smartsheet does not display well in small spaces, for example if a browswer only takes up half of a 4k screen, it is hard to navigate the sheet.
What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to all work in one place instead of passing files back and forth. Much less error prone and ensures we all have the most recent copy of our data. Task and work management allow us to use Smartsheet to stay on track and fulfil our clients needs.
