I recently had the opportunity to test out a remarkable software that has completely revolutionized the way organizations manage their talent development and learning initiatives. There are some integration issues, we have found it difficult to track our learners' progress in an effective way. The platform has its own authoring tool but this is not as powerful as others in the market.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos supports both internal onboarding and external training in one easy-to-use platform. It gives us a cost-effective way to deliver training to new employees and clients, saving time and resources.
The platform also allows us to provide training to a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds (from college students to industry professionals), which helps with skills development and community support.
Having an online presence also helps raise our international profile.

What do you like best about Litmos?
The platform integrates will with Entra for provisioning and authentication while still maintaining the ability to use application based accounts & passwords. Additionally, the ability to bulk upload data has helped us deploy quickly.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
The ability to share courses between tenants/instances is a problem. Our organization uses multiple instances and because we can not share Litmos content easily have had to come up with policies or 3rd party software to meet our needs.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos has allowed us to cost effectively bring multiple, independent solutions into one place. Reporting is easier for administration and access is better for learners.

What do you like best about Litmos?
I like that we can have all our trainings in one place. Litmos is very user friendly on both the front and back end of the software. They also have a training software to help you learn all you need to know. Ryan has been great in helping our organization get things set up.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
The thing I wish could change isn't the software itself, but the DOJO - the training videos. I would like it to be more tailored to the permissions you have. I don't have the highest permissions so when they are talking about a feature, I may not have access to it.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Litmos, many departments had their own training software. Litmos has helped us streamline trainings in our organization at our level.

What do you like best about Litmos?
In most cases it's the ease of use. Litmos provides a streamlined process for creating course content and for colleagues to register for courses.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
Litmos has some limitations such as similar classes. Participants need to unregister to re-register for the same class for a different date. Example: Trivia: trivia changes class to class howeve litmos does not recognize this.
Reporting is a challenge to create structured reports for our specific needs. Also the Chart Tree view allows you to find topics at a high level such as a position or department title but does not allow to find individuals. More effort and time required to do this.
The IT/Help desk in some instances can take some time to resolve issues. I still have a case open that has been for close to a month if not more. Relying on another internal department of Litmos to look into the issue.

What do you like best about Litmos?
Over the years, we’ve encountered minor issues – as is expected with any SaaS platform – but the support team is always quick to respond. They have created clear channels for feedback, feature requests and reporting any issues. They are quick to respond and always looking to improve their services. Their eagerness to resolve problems and implement user feedback is a highlight.
Our dedicated contact points ensure consistent communication and a personalised approach, making it easy to collaborate. Their strong customer focus, transparency, and excellent communication build confidence and trust, ensuring our needs are always prioritised.
Rolling out courses and managing users is straightforward. The ability to segment users into groups and assign specific learning paths ensures I can get people access to what they need when they need it.
Just the right amount of flexibility when it comes to customisation for the platform. Allowing us to put our company flavour to the platform, and through branding, this can vary between users too. Customisation is also not oversimplified, giving access to add custom CSS and JavaScript.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
Although the authoring tool is up to par and better than many other LMS platforms, it couldn't provide the look and feel we were after. Using a seperate authoring tool and deploying via SCORM is straightforward.
There were some steps back while under SAP such as support materials disappearing overnight, and SAP seemed to restrict growth and transparency. In the 2 years since Litmos moved out from under the constraints of SAP (2022), their services have noticeably improved. Updates seem more frequent, and the platform feels more agile and responsive to customer feedback. It’s clear they’ve regained the freedom to innovate and focus on their users.

What do you like best about Litmos?
Uploading content into Litmos is simple and straightforward which allows us to provide our employees with online learning content. Implementation was extremely easy. Online and live support is always on hand and resolves issues in an effective and efficient way.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
Reporting can be tricky to navigate and doesn't always provide the results you are looking for, however once you have created a report you can use the criteria repeatedly for other needs.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos has allowed us to offer training across our entire group at the same time and in the same format. Moving forwards it will be instrumental in creating a dynamic learning experience for all of our employees.

By centralizing and streamlining training, the system ensures that all employees have easy access to up-to-date safety protocols and compliance courses. I would like a more definied guide (step-by-step) when it comes to content creation.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many different training providers and different websites to visit. This has streamlined training and made it more visible and accessible to our employees.

What do you like best about Litmos?
My favorite part about Litmos is the Content Author. I can easily create courses for my company and upload them. I can also use the templates for assessments and learning materials to create content quickly. Litmos allows us to provide our customers with training material while also allowing them to create their own content so they can have one centralized location for all training materials.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
I have run into an issue where a user's email gets added to the "bounceback list" and I have to contact support to get them removed.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos allows our company to assign training material to all of our employees and group employees based on job role. It also provides us with a training platform for our customers, so it solves two problems.

What do you like best about Litmos?
We have member firms all over the world, and the Litmos structure allows us to give each member firm its own LMS within our overall structure. Each firm can manage its own training and development and still have the benefits of all the Litmos content. In this way Litmos meets our unique business needs.
Another plus is the Litmos support system, either though the help desk portal or my CSM who is very responsive.
I appreciate the quarterly webinars for clients, so we can stay updated on what's new and what's ahead.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
As a global firm, it would be great to see more content in other languages.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can offer training to our firms at a reasonable cost with ease of use.

What do you like best about Litmos?
Admin on Demmand is an amazing service. Ryan has been super helpful assisting building out our platform and solve difficult issues. He has also helped me become a better admin. This has increased the use of the platform by our employees and associates. AI is going to be a very useful tool too. Very excited about what is to come in terms of content creation with AI.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
- Course transitions are not the best between versions. We have to 1)learn the course has been updated, 2)deactivate old course, 3)add new course, 4)unassign the old course. It is very confusing for users and added burden to admins.
- Lack of available languages for compliance training and other courses
- Very limited access levels for admins
- No integrated CC and/or translator of content
- Reports through the reporting engine often have missing data
- No "welcome demo" for new users within the platform.
- Content creator is great, but not the best for mobile users.
- Mobile app needs some more attention for on the field employees

"Have grown to love Litmos!"
What do you like best about Litmos?
As an Account Owner, I find Litmos user friendly. Having now used the platform for nearly 3 years, we've been able to integrate and increase the use of the platform across the organisation. Although it isn't everyone's cup of tea, I feel more users are now more comfortable with the platform and could identify Litmos as our internal LMS.
Over the last 3 years we've made the effort to use more of the features to enhance the user experience and increase retention of knowledge. The addition of the Creator Community has helped with troubleshooting and ability to build custom reports is an important feature for our organisation.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
There are some additions I'd love to see incorporated within Litmos. These are:
- Having the ability to bulk upload feature for External Courses. We've been encouraging all users to enter all their External Learning directly into their own records. Whilst some do, it would be hugeluy advantageous if a bulk upload feature for External Learning was available, so an Account Owner could complete this for a Company wide or Conference Attendances.
- Admin dashboard could do with a refresh,
- Being able to merge and/orlink and/or transfer Achievements across multiple accounts i.e., if an employee changes their maiden name it would be great to be able to recognise this across one account rather than having multiple accounts.
- Having improved authoring tools to create content within Litmos.
- Running virtual training sessions that are time appropriate for the Asian-Pacific region, all of the virtual sessions are scheduled for Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8) and session recordings aren't available post session.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform is allowing us to increase awareness levels of key topics and areas that are current and relevant to the organisation both at a functional and Business Unit level.
It's also allowing us to understand what External Learning projects and Business Units are completing, giving us greater oversight of how and what capabilities we are increasing.

What do you like best about Litmos?
My company has been a Litmos customer for many years and we use it to manage our training and compliance programs. We integrate our HRIS system with our single sign-on service and we seamlessly assign Litmos training when employees onboard on day 1. Their content library has been a huge time saver so that we don't have to actively manage course content. And if we develop our own in-house trainings, which we a few instances, the Content Authoring Tool it allows our Admins to publish content within a few clicks. It’s simple! Technical support is great - they are responsive and have always resolved my cases in a timely manner!
What do you dislike about Litmos?
The overall user experience and features need refinement. Fix website navigation issues, having to reapply search filters. Require less steps to perform bulk actions. Allow 3rd party integrations like Slack notifications. Better search function in the Litmos Documentation.

What do you like best about Litmos?
I have been using Litmos for the past six months, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! One of the standout features is the excellent customer support. Whenever I have a question or need assistance, their team responds quickly and is incredibly helpful.
My employer chose the Litmos On-Demand Administration for our instance, and it has been nothing short of wonderful. We hold regular implementation meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The system is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and manage our learning programs effectively. I particularly appreciate the robust reporting functions, which provide valuable insights into learner progress and engagement. I have several saved reports emailed to me weekly to help monitor our learners’ progress.
Another major advantage has been the Single Sign-On feature for our learners. This has made a significant difference compared to our previous LMS, where we frequently had to assist users in resetting their passwords. Now, our learners can access their courses effortlessly, greatly enhancing their overall experience.
I use the system every day to support learners and regional managers, continuously looking for ways to meet the organization’s training needs through this product. My team is currently exploring some of Litmos's integrations to assign learners to specific content and keep their managers updated on their progress.
Overall, I highly recommend Litmos to anyone looking for an efficient and supportive learning management system!

Our organization had multiple departments attempting to engage employees through various systems. By transitioning to Litmos, we aim to create a centralized platform where employees can easily access all their training resources. This change will not only streamline the training process but also improve our compliance with mandatory training requirements set by state regulations, funding bodies, and our internal policies. We believe that this unified approach will make it easier for everyone to stay up-to-date with their training obligations.
"Great platform and easy accessibility to content"
What do you like best about Litmos?
I really love the Teams feature, how easy it is to create a new offering and add a new group of people to specific content or webinars. I also like how quick the customer support team is at getting back with answers.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
It would be nice to have more options with the autoresponse email communications. Also, it would be nice to add a way to deliver certificates based on requirements met or conditions met by learner (if x was completed, then the certificate is available to learner). I think right now, you can offer a certificate only if the person completed the modules, but there's not a way to five further conditions such as, if all four quizzes were passed.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos is making learning more scalable and accessible to the learner. People can access information at their fingertips. We are also using it as a blended learning tool to provide information backup to all our live offerings.
"A Solid and Beginner-Friendly LMS"
What do you like best about Litmos?
The ever-improving Content Author is easy, and sometimes even fun, to work with. Huge hat-tip to the post-SAP Litmos team for listening to its users and making this feature easy to learn and yet full of design options. Please continue to add more options! In addition, Litmos' Marketplace course library is a fantastic resource in which to find essential compliance training.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
The survey and assessment features leave much to be desired in terms of style and versatility. If Litmos' chief concern is with presenting users with an uncluttered and clean survey/assessment, that is fine; however, one can achieve this and still have a survey/assessment that is stylish and versatile. See Microsoft Forms for example. And on the note of assessments, one minor but irksome occurrence is the replacement of all apostrophes and quotations marks in the .CSV output file (i.e., assessment report) with a string of alphanumeric codes.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
At present, two "problems." First, we use Litmos to provide recurring, ready-made compliance training to our employees across the U.S. Second, we use Litmos to create in-house courses customized for our industry.
"So Many Options! Sometimes Too Many Options!"
What do you like best about Litmos?
The content authoring tools are very easy to use to create engaging content for all of the courses we make through Litmos. I would like to continue to see new tools added and improvements to the existing ones in the future. I'm also very happy to see all of the updates we've seen recently including the AI assistant, the new learner home, enhancements for the mobile application, and others. I use the platform daily to track learner progress and create high-quality content for our users. I also enjoy attending the webinars Litmos has hosted and being able to watch the recordings when I can't attend the live sessions.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
As a newer admin, the most difficult aspect of using Litmos has been learning the ins and outs of the platform. I feel like I learn something new at least each week and it makes me wonder if I'm missing out on opportunities because the capabilities of the platform are so vast. I often have trouble navigating certain tasks, unless it's a part of my daily/weekly routines. Also, it seems like a small thing, but I wish I could copy and paste content from one course to another. I either have to save the entire page as a template and upload it onto the new course, or I have to copy and paste the text of each heading, textbox, flip card, accordion, etc. Also, I wish there was one place to upload all photos, videos, and audio files so I don't have to upload them each time I work on a new course. If I am going to need a training video each year on the new training, I have to either dig for it on my computer and re-upload it to the new course, or I have to download it from the previous course and upload it onto the new course. If we had one vault or downloads file that contains all of our uploaded assets, this would save so much time and effort.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has multiple branches across the country. Having an easily accessible LMS is very important. Our users love the customization we've implemented to our Litmos platform as well. Our learners know that when something big happens in the company that requires change and new processes, they will have personalized training available to them on the website as soon as possible. We also use LMXU (our Litmos platform) to upload recordings of important meetings and they can be assigned to the users who need the information from the meeting. Our company also doesn't have an HRIS and the reports and information LMXU provides have been able to perform some of the basic functions needed that wouldn't otherwise be possible since we lack an HRIS (compliance training completion information, employee start and end dates, records of when employees are rehired or go on a leave of absence).

What do you dislike about Litmos?
Not much i dont like but here are a few things i think you could truly be excellent if worked upon.
Your content is pretty generic and more focus on distinctive content would help them stand out.
Also, the reporting definitely needs to become more robust. We would like to see reports that provide time - time spent per module, total time spent learning this or that course.

What do you like best about Litmos?
Litmos has one unique feature that strikes me when it comes to organizing and delivering training courses. It complements our HR system where training can be delivered to new employees as soon as they join the organization. The features are still excellent especially the reportage options that allowed me monitor the completion and progress. I also like how smoothly managed the interface is, both for the admin and the learners, so making changes to content of course is easy.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
A drawback of Litmos is that it offers a small number of options to adjust its course templates to meet our needs, which may be a problem because the LMS does not allow creating training to fit our needs. The mobile app for instance is often fraught with bugs which give the employee expectantly some time when they want to complete training on the go. These are not show stoppers, but they do cause some challenges when we want to provide a more personalised learning experience.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
Litmos has gotten rid of our issue of manual course allocation as well as management of the training progress. It also saves time for our HR department because they don’t have to track the completion of the form themselves anymore. Having a standard training can also bring uniformity within the organization, and has also benefited the organization in on boarding of new employees, and updating all the employees with the necessary training material.

"Intuitive learning platform that is well suited to the needs of our organisation"
What do you like best about Litmos?
The content author tool is incredibily easy to use and makes the course content really engaging.
The communication from both Oliver, our account executive and Neil, our customer enablement manager have been incredible, responses are always quick and straight to the point.
As a first time LMS user, we had alot of questions before signing the contract and Oliver was always happy to answer any questions we had.
Implementation has been really straightforward, Neil has been really helpful and has enabled up to set up the platform so that it is ready for content upload.
What do you dislike about Litmos?
Some parts of the platform require coding experience which we weren't made aware of before signing the contract. That being said, we've been able to personalise the platform in a way that is aligned with the organisation's branding guidelines.
What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have yet to launch however we are certain that Litmos will be easy to use for our learners and it has been alot easier then predicted to set up the platform. We are really pleased with the overall look and feel over the platform and there have been talks of potentially using it for internal staff training in the future.
