What do you like best about Woodpecker.co?
There are several things that I like about Woodpecker.co as an email marketing platform. 1) they offer email warm-up campaigns at no additional charge, 2) they verify the email addresses that you intend to send to in order to avoid spam traps and bounced messages, 3) they allow for "branching campaigns" that will automatically stop the initial string once a user takes a desired action, and will then send them the second string, etc, 4) their support team is responsive and will stay with you even through complex issues, until resolution has been achieved. It's been a great experience working with Woodpecker.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
The only downside in my opinion is the time difference from Poland to Mountain Standard Time. Even with that time difference, they are responsive to inquiries and support cases.

I use Woodpecker for cold email outreach. Their email warm-up campaigns and their email verification prior to sending helps keep my messages landing in the prospect's inbox. (Reviewer's note: in the "Feature Ranking" section of this review, if I haven't used the feature being asked about, I submitted a score of "4" - not because the product is lacking in that regard, but because I haven't used the feature yet. Suggestion, add an "n/a" option to those questions)

What do you like best about Woodpecker.co?
What I like most about this tool is that the team is available and open with their responses to my concerns, questions and request for guidance. No smoke and mirrors. Each representative has a good understanding of the platform and pivots accordingly with the conversation instead of sounding like a bot or message taker. Love the follow up and closeout process to make sure all my needs are met. The interface is also very user friendly and option for various integrations of an email based on an open or action from the recipient and the push to the next workfloow is optimal. This allows me to put each prospect through and every sequence also to keep our brand in front of them longer. I also like the fact that the campaigns auto pause in order to keep our domains from getting damaged instead of just blasting it through. I originally started with Saleshandy and it took them 6 months to finally tell me my SPF and DKIM were not set up properly. Prior to that, they blames my email content when it was clear from the analytics that more than 2/3's of my emails were never even reaching their destination, but instead they were condicendng and blamed me for those issues insted of working to educate me. I learned more of what went wrong over a video demo call with Woodpecker than I did in the year I had been with Saleshandy.

My only complaint would be that there is a lot of behind the scene stuff I feel in order to make the interface more user friendly however eventhough I want to look at it doesn't mean I need to so I've come to appreciate deferring to your staff as experts instead of me trying to be the expert right away.

It's allowing me to put my brand in front of my industry at volume for another touchpoint with less resources and bandwidth.

Support is highly efficient, intelligent, and responsive. In fact, I shared a product suggestion and the team took it up and implemented it within a short period of time. Never have I experienced a SaaS company so responsive.

Nothing to dislike per se but it would be valuable if the system could detect and alert you to deliverability problems for example when to put a mailbox into rotation.

Most sales tools have a poor UX (think your CRM or prospecting apps), Woodpecker is beatifully designed with the end user in mind, to make our work simple, onboarding new users there is super quick (I've onboarded 4 of our sales reps with practically no assistance required). I've returned to this app after a few years and I was surpised how much it grew with new features which I previously needed (A/B testing, sending emails at the timezone of the recipient etc.). I highly recommned it. + the integration ecosystem is growing constantly if you're using PipeDrive the native intergration with Woodpecker is a blast.

I don't see any downsides really, this is probably the best tool in this category.

Certainly, the support team should also consider contacting us via phone or online meetings. Sometimes, training videos are not as precise as a regular conversation. Additionally, I think you should look into LinkedIn activity with Dux Soup. Is it true that LinkedIn accepts such plugins?

I have been using Woodpecker every day for several years on my agency account. In my opinion, it is the best cold mailing tool. The platform is intuitive despite its advanced features. Even new members of our team can quickly create and manage campaigns on their own.
I value the fact that the email sequences are custom - I can plan everything exactly and personalize the sending of subsequent messages. It is also important that the tool catches invalid emails and does not add them to the mailing - this has a great effect on the deliverability of emails.
I still have to mention the customer service, which responds quickly and is very helpful.
Another important point is the integration with various tools, which saves both us and our customers a lot of time and effort.

What do you like best about Woodpecker.co?
Woodpecker does a good job of managing sales email campaigns. It's great for a small company without a dedicated marketing/sales ops team, because anyone can quickly learn how to create and manage a campaign. The online help library is excellent, and online chat support is responsive and helpful. It doesn't have all the capabilites of a full sales engagmeent platform like Outreach, but it does a great job at its niche of cold email campaigns. With it's ease of use and value pricing, it is ideal for small and medium sized companies.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
As I said, it doesn't have all the capabilities of something like Outreach, but it's not going after that market. The only negatives are that the reporting is pretty basic and you don't have much control over customizing what data you want to see, etc. I've also found it a bit confusing to understand the nuances of how some data is stored at the global level and some at the campaign level, but I think this is inherent in any kind of system like this (and I wouldn't even try to do this in something like Outreach).

The automated email campaigns are nice and you can set the hours and days for distibution.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
Very difficult to connect Woodpecker to Outlook. Requires changing DNS records and adding TXT info. Matt at Woodpecker continues to make changes and increase Pricing. Woodpecker used to be a very user-friendly software. Now, it is more hassle than it is worth. They have become too big and are no longer customer-focused. Better to find another solution. Matt does not respond to emails or inquiries.
Recommendations to others considering Woodpecker.co:
Unless you have a degree in Software Engineering, find a better bulk e-mail solution.
Woodpecker had some excellent features, but Matt is chasing the money and has made the software difficult to use. His customer service people do not care about the customers.

I like that Woodpecker not only automates my messaging but also gives a possibility to customize the first message for one particular prospect. As a result, even though my campaigns are automated, they still have a personal touch.

I enjoy my experience with Woodpecker. I would only add an option to customize not only the first message for a particular prospect but follow-ups as well. More granularity with reporting would also be an advancement.

The complexity of the tool when compared to some of its competitors is next to nill. It is a super user-friendly platform to use and it does whatever it is supposed to do. EMAILING, be it from a sales or marketing perspective.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
For a growing start-up like us, it turns out to be a little too expensive. We have about 20 users now and the per user, per month, becomes very heavy on a company like us.

The sales email campaigns are a walk in the park to configure and execute is simply amazing, Their support is fantastic too, very prompt and quick to address the problems faced by clients.

What do you like best about Woodpecker.co?
I liked the email campaign scenarios where you could build the flow of your email campaign based on the recipient's behavior. I also like that the emails sent from Woodpecker are stored in my mail account, so I can later find them with the search if needed. There is no such feature with the Reply.io which I also tested for the same purposes.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
I had a confusion with the time zones. I was in a different timezone with the recipients and couldn't easily find the way to fix this, so I had to contact support. Other than that I liked it

Its a good tool for creating email campaigns. Got only one hiccup but the customer support addressed it quickly. I recommend it

I was doing a cold email sales campaign. I had the list of contacts I needed to reach out to, so I created a three email flow: initial pitch + 2 follow-ups. each follows up has a delay of 2 days, and all campaigns fitted the working week (5 days)

True to an email blaster, being able to control the scripts and the pathways in which emails receivers get their emails is important, especially when you are cold selling via email. Woodpecker does allow for that. It also helps that they provide some basic script templates to build off of.
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
Started out a little raw in terms of interface and building out scripts, but over the year, Woodpecker has notably worked through A lot of the early phase issues and seemingly is running smoother. Having a more robust method for conditional logic would be something that my team would find more helpful.

The woodpecker platform and customer success team make everything about email marketing seamless and easy to use. It's also very intuitive and user-friendly, which makes managing campaigns a breeze. I also love they provide API access for a variety of integrations, and that is huge!
What do you dislike about Woodpecker.co?
It would be great to have the ability to send to 200+ prospects in a given day without the concern of being labeled as spam and ensuring we could continue to have strong open rates of 35% or higher.
