"Simple and easy Project Management tool"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Clickup has been the most straightforward and easy to setup project management tool for us. Task tracking is super easy with lots of granular details. Sharing with teams and inviting new members to collaborate to the board and task is super easy. Integration with 3rd party tools is also possible with many apps available. Datadog and Clickup integrations helps alot in creating incident tasks in Clickup for the events that needs to be address and team can then start working on the incidents. Customer support is very helpful. Its been the mostly used tool through out our project.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
So far we have no complaints. Few integrations were a but difficult to get around but we are satisfied most part.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to have an easy task assignment and tracking tool for our project. Clickup with its integration for many top 3rd party tools is great. Calendar integration smoothly integrates Clickup and our Google Workspace for Google Calendar.
"Good, but makes me feel insecure"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
It works. I like the design in general—crisp, and minimalistic enough.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
The way some features work is very unclear. For example, the notorious "me mode" and filters in general. It took me several days and conversations with three support members to figure out how to see only tasks and subtasks assigned to me.
Another thing is that the synchronization works in a very weird way. I thought that a collaboration tool should update everything on everyone's screen immediately, but this is not the case. I have to refresh my screen manually many times per day to be sure I have an updated version of the dashboard.
The abundance of customisation in general drives me nuts. Today I spent quite some time trying to find a way to customize the task properties on the task screen and... I gave up. There is so many customisable things that when I really need to customize something I find myself lost. I checked space settings, list settings, and task layout settings. Nothing. Have I tried to check the Help Center? Oh yes, but it didn't provide any clues on this mysterious question.
Bottom line: I feel insecure when I use ClickUp. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I fear losing tasks just because after a couple of weeks of using ClickUp on an everyday basis I still feel that I don't have control over it. And as a product manager control it's what I really need.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clickup helps me run the backlog, split it into tasks, do project management and bug tracking.
"It's easy to use and I can manage several tasks all in one place"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
It's super easy to use and the interface is user friendly. I can manage multiple teams and tasks, being able to create a logical structure that can be used by the whole company. The templates are also helpful, making my job easier since I use the platform every day and constantly create tasks, folders, and workflows.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Sometimes it's hard to find certain information, even using the search bar. Linking one task to another can also take some time.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving several issues related to product management and software development. It's helping me in a way that allows me to share the next steps with stakeholders and explain how the development team is working.
"No focus - ClickUp got unreliable"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Features would actually be good if the would work, it is very flexible, we use clickup daily, automation and integration with third party tools would be easy with make (but be aware of bugs!)
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Too many bugs, even on enterprise plan you interact with many different people from customer support, support doesn't really care, many bugs will be confirmed as unattended behaviour but it will take weeks and months until they solve even critical bugs. also, the fact that it is pushing to a one in all solution means, that everything is there, but nothing is really "industry leading" itself.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
it would help us to not use 5 different apps, but during that "no focus" of clickup we noticed, that dedicated tools are more beneficiary for us, also you tend to loose the overview in clickup if you try do solve different use cases in it, as we did in the past
"Click Up strives for everything I've ever wanted but misses the mark sometimes."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I love the ease of keeping everything in one place! Group projects organized by tasks, forums with results, and my favorite part, documents! This has made life so much easier when creating how-to guides for our users but allowing for leadership to give their feedback in the form of comments before launch, ensuring accurate and clear information is released. The way they format their documents also makes for an awesome enviroment friendly to make updates and changes to documents without disrupting URL addresses. As a trainer, this is all I could ever ask for.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Unfortunately if it seems too good to be true, its cause it is. This is an amazing platform destined for greatness. But regretably I say, there always seems to be a major bug that gets in the way of fully falling head over heels. The customer service is awesome but the resolution time could be better. I imagine it could be due to having so many issues arise that they are backed up in application support - but it seems alot of technical strength is applied more for the next big updates they implement instead of ensureing already established features run smoothly.
Because of this unfortunately the company I work for is pressing we redirect services to a more reliable source so we too can be reliable to our users.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently Click Up is solving bugs to features that are not new.
"All-in-One Productivity Powerhouse"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
At RecRam, ClickUp has become an essential tool for managing error tracking, team communication, and task follow-ups. Its visually appealing interface and simplicity make it a joy to use, while its speed ensures efficiency in daily operations.
The platform excels at providing a clear overview of tasks and progress, keeping everyone on the same page. Whether it’s tracking bugs, coordinating between teams, or following up on deliverables, ClickUp makes everything intuitive and organized.
ClickUp’s flexibility and visually dynamic design have elevated our workflow, making complex processes easier to manage. Highly recommend it for teams that value efficiency and clarity.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
ClickUp offers a vast array of features, which can be overwhelming at times. It doesn't lean towards a minimalist approach, and at the start, we invested a significant amount of effort into customizing it to fit our team's needs and ensuring internal alignment. While the extensive features are powerful, the initial setup can be time-consuming and require a lot of adjustments to fully integrate into existing workflows.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp is helping RecRam streamline issue tracking, improve team communication, and simplify task management. By centralizing our workflow, it ensures that everyone stays aligned, reducing miscommunication and delays. The ability to track bugs, monitor progress on tasks, and automate repetitive processes has saved us time and improved overall efficiency. This seamless integration of task management tools into one platform enhances collaboration and allows us to focus on delivering results faster.
"There still long way to go!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Fast-growing features and consolidation in one window. Mac OS app. Good for operational tasks and customer support.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
It is not fully prepared for software development processes. Everything Is based on lists; if you need a separate entity or any other attribution, it should be covered via lists.
The DOC section is another problem. The whole page stacks when using tables in the document (the tables are currently the worst thing in the document). It's a headache. It is impossible to use documents regularly. The toolbar for the rich text editor should always be attached in the same place, but each time I enter the page, it is not pinned, and I should Highlight the text to see that toolset, which makes the work slower.
Autmations are not flexible.
Also, Mobile applications are useless. I think the whole issue is the mess in the flexibility they did. I think they need to block some features for some cases to avoid overlapping.
The interface is another issue. It is nice, but many buttons overlap, and there are many things to tackle in the same area, which is a mess.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to get the most out of it, but I can say there are a lot of things that need to be covered for every aspect of my use.
"ClickUp, great tool to document and track the successful execution of projects."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is an exceptional comprehensive project management tool that allows us to organize our work team, collaborate efficiently and automate tasks in a single environment. It offers us features such as Kanban boards, Gantt charts, collaborative documents, codeless automations and time tracking.
It is ideal for
unify all workflows in the organization and keep teams aligned without the need for other additional applications, especially when we work in a project approach.
Its interface is really intuitive and allows us extensive customization, adapting to different types of projects and teams.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
In some cases, preparing our entire work team may be a little slow, due to the large number of functions and customization options that can be overwhelming for new users, requiring training time.
It may be that when working with many tasks and projects simultaneously, we feel a little slow down, but I think it does not affect the team's efficiency.
Although the free version is robust, certain advanced features come at a cost that can be high compared to other tools.
On the other hand, the interface could sometimes look complex compared to the structure of other similar platforms, making it difficult to quickly navigate large projects.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the project area, for constant monitoring, I have used ClickUp to document and follow the execution of tasks and collaborative work. In each project, I create tasks for each stage of development, assign responsible parties, and define deadlines on the Gantt chart. I use dashboards to monitor the status of each task and apply automations to notify the team when certain milestones are reached. I also use the reporting functions to generate weekly reports that I present to management.
"Efficient Project Tracking with ClickUp, Great for IT Teams"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I like how customizable ClickUp is. The ability to create custom workflows and views to match our workflow has been a great benefit for my IT department. The flexibility in organizing tasks and milestones helps us stay on track, particularly with complex projects. Clickup also integrates well with other tools, such as Zapier, allowing us to automate tasks. Clickup has improved my team's collaboration and project tracking.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
One of the challenges I face with ClickUp is the wide variety of features that can sometimes be overwhelming, especially for new users of ClickUp. While it's highly customizable, there is a steep initial learning curve. The complexity of ClickUp requires some time to get everyone up to speed.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp helps my team manage multiple projects within a virtual environment. As the IT Director , I oversee several projects simultaneously, from system integration to chatbot development. ClickUp provides a centralized platform where I can track progress, assign tasks, and manage deadlines. The customization options allow me to effectively manage projects and tasks which keeps the team organized and focused.
"Excellent Project Management System"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
There are so many aspects of clickup that myself and my team love and enjoy. As our team grew over the past couple of years we were looking for a PM system to house various aspects of our teams work and implement overall workflows to streamline what we do, ClickUp is where we landed and we're very happy to use it daily.
I love that we're able to have different spaces, this allows each of the areas of work my team has to use ClickUp in whatever fashion makes most sense for their jobs (data uses it very differently than a creative team uses it). I'ts really customizable for each person to use and to use for a group and I really enjoy that you can easily add people on a guest access level to view content as well.
Their customer support has always been fantastic and their eager to work with you to ensure you're enjoying your experience.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Indicative of the name, depending on how your team sets up their space there can be a lot of clicks to get around and function within the environment. This isn't a deal breaker by any means but for people in it all day every day it does impact workflows.
I wish we had the ability to add their AI (brain) on a per person liscense versus for the whole account. There are people on my team that would really benefit from it and others who don't need it so that limits full use.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
One source of truth for our team.
Collaboration for teams and across departments.
Overall project management for team.
"ClickUp as task management for reasonably small team"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The basic architecture of ClickUp is generally straightforward and easy to use and set up. Adding tasks, details, and files and assigning and discussing them works well and has made it easy for us to manage to-dos. The slack integration is helpful for us since we can just take conversation points and turn them into tasks in Slack. The price is quite reasonable for us.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
The automation capabilities aren't nearly as developed or flexible as one would hope. Many of the quality of life ones we wanted to set up weren't really possible, and then we'd find out that a bunch of people have been asking for that capability for years. Customer service is not very effective or responsive. Some support tickets we've submitted have just disappeared without a response at all. We would be leery of using it for mission-critical processes due to the poor ticket response.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp is helping us organize, track, and evaluate success on tasks for multiple teams. We use it to assign work, track progress, and manage performance. It's sped up our processes so that we can better serve our clients and reduced errors and issues falling through the tracks. Internal communication is better.
"ClickUp is the real all-around Project Management tool!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp’s basic project management features are more than enough for our needs. The extra features like multiple views (Kanban, calendar, Gantt chart) are super useful—it makes organizing and tracking work much easier. The doc feature is also very helpful; we actually use it a lot to keep everything documented in one place. It feels like ClickUp gives you a bit of everything you need.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
If you’re new to ClickUp, there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve with all the features. The UI can feel a little complex because there’s so much packed into it, but over time, it gets easier as you get used to it.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
With multiple projects running in parallel, ClickUp really helps keep everything organized and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. It’s also great for team collaboration, allowing us to stay aligned even when there’s a lot going on.
We also sometimes need to create landing pages for event information, and ClickUp’s docs feature makes that super easy to set up and maintain. The best part is that it’s mobile-friendly, so team members can access important info on the go.
I often work on projects involving external vendors, and sharing the Gantt chart with them in ClickUp makes it easy to track progress together. This way, we’re all on the same page about the project’s current status and whether we’re on schedule or falling behind.
"ClickUp does Everything!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I like that I'm able to customize the software to work the way my team and organization work. We use it everday to guide our work and provide transparency to our internal partners.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
There is a downside to this software doing everthing you need it to do. There LOTs of bells and whistles to learn. You have to be very used to the software because the buttons are not all intuitive. There are more that one way of completing the same task.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
There seem to be some bugs with the Whiteboard feature and options take getting used as they are not intuitive. However, for the most part it is a great tool for planning our work and having a single source where we the organzation can work. Unfortunately, not everyone uses the tool the same way, so each environment is designed differently. This is a plus because users can build their projects however they'd like. This also has a downside because users need to reorient themselves everytime they switch teams.
"Very flexible, a lot of potential, but I haven't yet been able to rely on it."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Very flexible, building workflows in ClickUp alot is possible. It is getting better every rendition.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
User experience not as consistent as it could be. I feel there are many ways to do a certain thing, which is great for flexibility, but I think sometimes it is good to also teach the user to change how they can work with a tool, rather than make a tool that the user can use however they want. It can get overwhelming. UI can also be cleaned, still feels overwhelming but its getting better. There are still also alot of bugs, to the point I have stopped reporting them. Often quite simple ones are getting overlooked. I mainly chose ClickUp for the Google calendar 2 way sync, but even that has stopped working the way it used to. I heard they are going to improve this but the way they have implemented this hasnt been great, seeing as some people like myself would rely on that heavily. I go between getting excited about ClickUp, to getting frustrated, back to excitement etc. I just want something that is functional at the end of the day that can be relied on. I'm sure I am not the only one.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building workflows easily to present to team members so that waterfall projects can be tracked
"A versatile tool for time management and team collaboration"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Clickup offers a wide range of tools from task management and time tracking to goal setting, making it an adaptable resource for different workflows and team sizes. The timesheets and customizable dashboards are especially helpful to see task progress at a glance and get an overview of each team member's daily progress.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
For new users, the large variety of features can be overwhelming, and the learning curve can be steep. Individuals may end up spending more time than needed tracking time for every task or updating project statuses instead of focusing on completing the actual tasks.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to look back on how much time is spent on each task daily, weekly, and per team member. Easy to view which tasks are assigned to me and develop a list of tasks that I need to accomplish.
"Great flexibility for personal and business GTD setup in ClickUp"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp gives me the flexibility to organize the variety of my projects, tasks and items (personal and business related).
The great thing is that I can adjust and customize the system to my personal needs.
I use ClickUp for my business projects like projects with customers (and the related tasks), as well as a CRM system (contact list with related activities per person or company).
Some weeks ago, I started to use ClickUp to track my sales income (related from my business projects). Now I have one dashboard to navigate my business.
ClickUp is great for "personal GTD" (= getting things done), meaning I manage all my personal activities with ease and focus (e.g. "now", "@waiting for", "overdue", "upcoming", projects, etc.).
In the past, I sometimes forgot to update or renew our personal documents like passports. Now track these documents as "items" to be prepared before the validity of important documents is due or already overdue.
I really love ClickUp and the continous update with new features or improvements gets better since the upgrade to version 3.0
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
On first use of ClickUp, the setup is quite confusing because all is blank. This makes it difficult to prepare the workspace according to my needs (personally and business wise).
I would love to see some use cases with best practices for a "solo-preneur" ClickUp setup.
The solopreneur has the difficulty to manager the combination of personal tasks and business activities. So here comes all the complexity of life and the request to manage this complexity within one tool at best.
Currently there is no "prepared setup" for this. It would be great to see showcases or templates within the structure of ClickUp.
One thing that I dislike about the "task frame" is that it always has the same mandatory fields (status, responsible, start & due date, priority, time estimate, time tracked, tags).
It would be great if this could be customized on "space level" or "folder level". Because some times the item tracked in ClickUp does not require these fields to be filled.
Also on startup of ClickUp, the software should start with the last list or view where I had left. Sometimes it starts with a random view and jumps to an area which I did not use the last time.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
I track and manage my projects (business and personal). It helps me to have an overview of my sales situation (income, current offers and pending payments). Additionally I love the flexibility to adjust the setup in many ways and for different use cases.
Also ClickUp serves for me as a CRM (contacts, related company and activities).
I used it to track the performance of my LinkedIn social media content posts.
A great feature is to have sub-tasks for main tasks. Also that the tasks can now be changed to a different "task type". Therefore I have a "project" (main task) with sub-tasks.
"Company organisation made easy"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
One of the best parts of ClickUp is, that most things are pretty intuitively designed and learning about the usage and workflow is simply done by just working with it and trying things out. Also, the functions or as they are called in ClickUp "Automations" are implemented as easy as possible, so you do not need to know anything about programming or scripting. Even if you are looking for something specific there are many videos and even a whole "Wiki" provided by ClickUp. In general, ClickUp is doing things right being very easy to use and offering many options to create overviews for different projects and departments what makes it easy to integrate into a working predefined company workflow. The opportunities to provide additional information for a task is nearly unlimited by integrating pictures, documents etc. into a tasks description just by performing a drag-and-drop from the file explorer to the task. For me it is an application I am using every day and it is growing rapidly inside our company.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
It's hard to say something bad about ClickUp because the only thing about the application itself that I did not like was the sudden switch from ClickUp 2.0 to 3.0. There was nothing like a deadline for the older version. But that is only from my personal side as I do not really like if a program changes its look and whole user interface. Another problematic process independent from the software was the negotiation for an enterprise offer or a personalized contract from ClickUp side as it took pretty long after our company asked for one. Additionally, it seemed that nobody from ClickUp was directly responsible for us and we had contact with five different persons before getting an email from their side informing us that all users no matter if guest, member or admin will be paid users from November 1st 2024.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, ClickUp gathers all informations and process states at one point, where everybody can have a look and get an overview of a tasks status. Before using it, it easily happened that information got lost between departments because they were only transferred verbally or written down in meeting protocols.
"ClickUp Increases Productivity and Efficiency"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp has been most helpful with staying organized, providing a quick and easy way to communicate with partners. Its resourcesful in delegating task and being able to view the performance of the spaces. The upsides to using ClickUp is that you can work more efficient with your team members and intergrate your partners on this platform. This makes it easy for implementation and will allow more frequent use on the platform.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I would like more knowledge on intergrating my Outlook Calendar with ClickUp. I feel like we need more video tutorials on intergrating our systems with this platform.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problems that ClickUp is helping me solve is to better manage work and deliverables with partners. I'm able to easily assign task and also provide partners with deliverables in one space.
"Super intuitive, flexible project management & communication tool"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is super intuitive and flexible. I particularly like the tagging feature - it really helps us organize all our projects by business unit and then report on time spent/resourcing per BU. It was very easy for the team to learn and start using when we initially implemented; we use it every single day. Now, we keep everything in one place - all our tasks and all our notes. It's so easy to turn action items from a meeting into tasks, which was a pain point in the past. Previously, we used EasyProjects, which had terrible search, so you could never find what you needed, and was overly complicated. We also like the calendar feature, which we previously had to maintain separately on Sharepoint. Now we have everything we need all in once place!
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
There are a lot of tiny little features (tiny buttons), so while the basics are super easy to get, some of the more advanced features take time to pick up. That said, we haven't had any problems - our power user/admin helps anyone who can't find what they need.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our challenge was being able to understand how much time we were spending on different areas of the business, and also planning resources for future projects. Now with ClickUp, we are easily able to see time spent for different projects by business unit and goal, as well as bandwidth for future projects.
"A Powerhouse of an app"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is an incredibly versatile software that has enhanced my productivity at least 10x.
I love the blend of personal task management, with business knowledge management, quick notes and the AI ClickUP brain is FANTASTIC. it is amazingly context aware and literally a beast of an assistant.
Nested documents, task hierearchy, custom fields, advanced filtering... this app has it all, and it's not too complicated to get up and running. It also has useful integrations into standard business platforms which is great/
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
the pricing tiers are bit weird, the limitations on usage can be elimintated and the ladder can be simplified.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing complex projects in an enterprise environment (University)
Task delegation
SOP and KB creation
"My honest feedback"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I have been using Clickup heavily for the past couple of months, the app is user friendly and it helped to monitor my team perforomance and ensure everything is on/off track. It also gave me the ability to check the team workload to distribute the task. As an operation guy, we needed something to compile all tasks under one umbrella whereby clickup succeeded!
However, I need the tech team to improve the below points.
* When client is engaging in form and filling, he is not receiving confirmation email with the summary.
* Add more formulas such as ABS and enable the logic writing to match microsoft format.
* Improve the app interface as sometimes there are glitches and it is hanging.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I wrote my feedback above. I mentioned the feedback above.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitor my tasks.
"Click simplifies, streamlines and makes life easier"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
"ClickUp really simplified the strategy creation process compared to how we used to work. In the past, there was a lot of back and forth with Excel files, version control demands, and waiting on each other to finish up. With ClickUp everything is centralised in one platform. It allowed us to collaborate seamlessly, capture all the key elements in real-time, and keep everything organised without the usual hassle. It made the strategy process faster and more efficient. We could just click through our process and so up on our strategy, time, and effort. You see we clicked up.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
It is unfortunate in my organisation that more users don't have ClickUp, and can't experience all the great benefits and collaborate with us that have access.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining our strategy creation, tracking and monitoring process.
"Dynamic, easy to use task manager."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The ClickUp University is free, easy to understand, and guides you through everything you might need to use the software, or develop a space for your team. The customer support is fast and helpful, and typically have resolved all my issues within an hour or so. It has been easy to implement this software into our company, although we have not used any of the integrations yet. My team of nine users are constantly in ClickUp, collaborating and tracking time- as well as linking our tasks to company projects in other departments, allowing cross-departmental cooperation.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Some of the dashboards are difficult to navigate, simply because they have too many options and features.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a wide variety of customers within our company, who receive reports in nearly a dozen software and computer systems. ClickUp allows us to manage our delivery of these reports, as well as common issues, team focus areas, and time spent on each task. We are able to gain visibility into the efforts of our team and their time psent on projects.
"Simple to start yet enough for complex use cases"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Great collaborative features
Easy to get started
Very easy to customize
Available automations are useful
API connectivity for custom integrations
Multiple views and project styles supported (AGILE, Waterfall, etc.)
Document collaboration
Company feels commited to improving product.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Customization can lead to wildly different uses making it hard to standardize reporting
Automation functionality could be expanded without the need to third party's like Zapier, Workato, Make.
Needs more comprehensive integration into Microsoft Suite products - OneNote, 2-way Outlook syncing, export to Word.
Planning dates for Gantt charts should have a way to mirror how MS Project which allows for simple spreadsheet entry w/ automatic re-scheduling.
Would love to see Documents have a nodal feature like Obsidian/LogSeq
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to create a centralized view of all work being done within our large department that can be measurable and encourage cross-team collaboration and information sharing. This process is still maturing but we are using ClickUp primarily to help solve for that.
"Good collaboration tool, but confusing at times"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The collaboration aspect of it and how it works between different teams and the fact that email threads pull throught to the sae task.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
When email threads pull through it includes the previous emails in every response, which makes the view cluttered and unfollowable. There are limitations in how a design team could use and look upon the booked in projects, like: timeline view of what needs to be done, based on a half hourly slot system, personal notes to be added which wouldn't show up in collaboration, or distinguishment between completed task and flagged ones, which require more work (like flagging emails in outlook for reviewing later, or to show that that task still has unanswered questions to be raised).
The marking up tool is not at all helpfull in collaborating with design, as it still lacks basic features which would make it clear as to what amends need to be made (more type tools from Adobe Reader should be implemented)
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration between teams, reporting of time worked on these projects.
"One stop solution for all our teams and projects"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is designed to help you visualize your information in several different ways. This diverse functionality enables us to get both the big picture view of projects as well as the minutae, helping us solve problems in a timely manner and keep everyone engaged in a project on the same page.
What I also love is the ability to automate most of my day-to-day tasks. We have an intricate process for video production that involves multiple people in various stages of the pipeline, several rounds of review, with each unique deliverable necessitating its own deadline. I am able to streamline all this by using the automations available in ClickUp, keeping everything on track.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
There are a few features that could be added such as:
1. Being able to disable start dates in calendar view
2. Triggers based on certain keywords in task/subtask name
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the main things it helps us solve is calculating the cost of our projects. Our primary cost is HR and through the timetracking feature we are able to ascertain the cost of a project in its entirety by consolidating the entries of all those involved. By being able to set up various lists within a folder as well as, we are also able to breakdown the cost of a project by various stages (as represented by the list).
"ClickUp is Incredible!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is so versatile! I love that we can find a format or sequence that fits everyone's individual needs. The automations are super handy! I've always recommended this to anyone looking for task managment.
I try to use it in every aspect of our business.
They pump out new features so frequently. Its great to know that they are actively making improvements.
It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you understand it, it becomes second nature.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I find the documents to be cumbersome to use and didn't really get into the chat features. I have no doubt that ClickUp will continue to optimize and adapt to new needs though!
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
And intuitive solution to custom task management with connections across all our needs. Its versatile enough to be able to address needs across many departments.
"Disappointing Customer Service and Feature Access Issues with ClickUp"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
A great task management tool, and their consistent release of new features.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
What is particularly frustrating is discovering that non-paying users have been granted access to this feature ahead of paying customers. This seems counterintuitive and has left me questioning the value of my investment in ClickUp's services. Communication with the support team has been slow and unhelpful. Responses often lack substantive information, merely stating that my request has been forwarded to the relevant team. There appears to be a lack of urgency and accountability in addressing customer concerns.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
I initially chose ClickUp to streamline my project management and improve team collaboration by having all tasks, communications, and workflows in one place. The platform is designed to solve the problem of juggling multiple tools by consolidating them into a single, unified workspace. However, due to ongoing issues with accessing essential features like the Chat App and experiencing unresponsive customer support, these benefits have not materialised for me. Instead of enhancing productivity and simplifying processes, the lack of promised features and support has hindered my ability to effectively manage projects and collaborate with my team.
"It has everything that you could ask for!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
What I like the most is how convenient it is to use and how you can modify everything and even organized your files, set up a task and create your agenta. They also integrated an AI and it's impressive!
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
So far I don't have anything to dislike about this app. I just like how it was set up and how you can modify everything as you see fit.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Going through different apps just to access different type of information. I hate that, I've been with a lot of companies that uses multiple tools just to get information or data unlike with Click up you can compile everything there, track it so it would be a lot easier rather than going through multiple apps.

As all features are built-in, customers were flooded with features that affected the ease of use for customers and needed enough time to start using it.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

This setup enhances developers experience and simplifies implementation
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
New users might find it tricky to navigate and even for those of us who are familiar with it. Sometimes, it feels like ClickUp is almost too powerful for its own good, which can slow down in getting new members fully onboarded.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp addresses the challenges of the organisation tasks and projects across teams, which has significantly improved our productivity and transparency. By centralizing task management, ClickUp reduces the need to juggle between different tools, allowing us to track progress and deadlines in one place.
"ClickUp is useful but can be overwhelming."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The ability to customize every aspect of the tool and the numerous integrations that make it easy to manage projects in a centralized way.ClickUp allows you to manage all tasks and communications in one place, with customizable views and features like automations and Gantt charts that optimize project planning and tracking.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
The large number of options can be overwhelming at first, and the interface sometimes slows down with many active projects.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp helps to solve the problem of task fragmentation by allowing tasks to be grouped and organized in a structured way, making it easier to manage complex projects. Additionally, the platform's tracking features enable clear progress monitoring, ensuring that all team members stay aligned with project goals and deadlines. "All-in-One Solution for business management"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I use ClickUp all over. It is core to my daily workflow, project plan and knowledge base. I love how everything is on one place. I have used many tools over the years to help me keep track of work and clickup solves all the problems for me.
I like the flexibility that clickup offers - I have made so many lists from tasks management, renovations, project management, software projects, property investing, meeting minutes and tracking info,.
I feel that it is a must-have for any business- from one man shows to more corpotartes.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I find clickup intuitive, but feel comforatble with technology. I do however have guests on and even an older employee at a stage that felt that it was challenging to use.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp seriously fixed my mess of scattered info and forgotten tasks. I used to have projects, SOPs, meeting notes, and all those recurring tasks spread across who-knows-how-many tools.
Templates are a lifesaver, especially for the stuff I do over and over again. And having my SOPs right there means I can find them fast when I need to. With the new AI Brain I can also search across all my docs.
"Sehr gute Personalisierungsmöglichkeiten"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
"A simple but robust project management solution."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
In my opinion, the main upsides of using ClickUp are how many options I have for everything, from creating tasks, OKRs, and so on, creating tags, subtasks, being able to freely control which ones I take part in, the timeline of comments, etc. While ClickUp provides a ton of resources, it is also not too complicated in the implementation of said resources as to not confuse the end user, my other experiences with the rest of the suite of project management softwares was good for the most part, but they lacked the simplicity that ClickUp provides.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
While the amount of resources ClickUp has is a bonus, from documents to even dashboards for presentations, that is also one of my griping flaws with the software, as most of these "other" features feel very disconnected from the central selling point of a "project management software', and they could be more seamlessly integrated into the user experience.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem ClickUp solves for my team is having a hub for the many issues that may occur in our day to day hours that are not big enough to earn a dedicated ticket in a program like GLPI for instance, we also use it for managing our OKRS and keeping track of what needs to be done for each, time constraints, who is working on what, etc.
"ClickUp adapts to your workflow, not the other way around"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp is the Swiss Army knife of project management systems. It has completely transformed how our team manages projects and tasks. The flexibility and customization options make it easy to adapt to any workflow, whether you’re managing simple to-do lists or complex projects with multiple dependencies. The user interface is intuitive, and the ability to integrate with other tools has significantly streamlined our processes. I love the detailed reporting features, which provide valuable insights into team performance. ClickUp’s continuous updates and new feature rollouts show they genuinely listen to user feedback. The recent AI update genuinely helps me to find things that need my attention. Would always recommend.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
The flexibility and customisation options might be a bit daunting at first, particularly if you're coming from a basic project or task management system, but learning it pays massive dividends for productivity.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
When moving quickly on new projects you tend to need to scaffold a lot of information, resources, and priorities at speed. With its array of features you can throw all your input at it and easily keep sight of the bigger picture at the same time. Not found another system that has this depth and flexibility.
"Great Tool For Projects and Business Planning & Scheduling"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
It is very easy to use, especially for the less tech savvy who just want to get on with their work. I also like the fact that other than project and team management, I also use it to self-manage. The colour selection is also brilliant and draws one's attention to matters requiring urgent attention. The support is great and the team is respectful and knowledgeable. Implementation is straightfoward with on going chatbox support. There are no restrictions to the frequency of use of the tool. I like the fact that I easily integrate with my other tools, enabling me to manage my activities from one platform.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I do not like the fact that not managed carefully, everyone gets to see what everyone is busy with. There are some projects and/or activities that require confidentiality at all levels - seeing the listing of activities, names of people assigned to a project might be problematic. It could be the plan that I am on, that may not provide that level of confidentiality.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management, team management, delegation, project management, performance management, reporting, making communication between team members easy and semless - keeping everything on one platform. It also helps with planning and brainstorming. Now with AI, it makes life much more easier and minimises time spent trying to figure out things.
"Streamlining Project Management with ClickUp"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
We use ClickUp every day to manage multiple projects. As an engineer, I appreciate how ClickUp can be used for simple to-do lists and scaled up to a comprehensive team management and complex project management tool. It is an excellent communication platform with various options for viewing tasks, milestones, decisions, opportunities, and reminders. These features help visualise objectives and goals in a meaningful and engaging way and bridges the gaps between different teams within the organisation.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Still a novice user but theres two points that has stood out for me.
1. The drop down list when selecting relationships should defualt and show items in the current list, and not recent tasks.
2. The count of items in a list visible from the task bar shows only main task count. However depending on how you use your work list a task could have more than a 100 subtasks. This would seem that it is a under utilised working list eventhough the workload within the list is quite substantial.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Different department are working from the same list. consolidating open tasks and improves the tracking of progress. Each team can create their own views and improve the way they need to interact on items relevant to their function within the business.
"Most Complete Business / Project Manager / Wiki"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
It offers customizable views, real-time collaboration, and integration with popular apps, allowing teams to manage projects efficiently. Its time tracking, reporting, and goal-setting features help teams stay on track and measure progress. With affordable pricing and scalability, ClickUp is ideal for businesses of all sizes looking to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Some users report slower loading times, particularly with larger projects or complex setups. some times just seconds can be crucial.
The sheer number of tools and settings lead to cluttered interfaces and a sense of complexity for those who only need basic functionality.
The mobile app lacks some of the robust features of the desktop version, which can hinder productivity on the go.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp solves key issues like disorganization, poor team communication, and time-consuming manual tasks by centralizing projects and automating workflows. It enhances team visibility, accountability, and collaboration, while providing valuable insights through reporting and time tracking. ClickUp's scalability and customization make it adaptable to our growing business, improving our overall efficiency and productivity.
"A Powerful Project Management System"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
ClickUp provides a highly integrated project management platform. It caters for both simple and complex projects. It ensures high levels of visibility for both team members and managers around what deliverables the project consists of, and how these are progressing. It also utilises AI in a way that reduces the levels of administration required for all aspects of the projects. It can easily generate project reporting. It provides all members of a project with a comprehensive overview of all elements of the project, and who is doing what.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Because ClickUp covers all aspects for managing projects it incorporates a high degree of functionality. In order to fully comprehend and tap into this functionality end users need to invest the time up front to fully understand the power of the system. Fortunately, there are excellent online training modules for all aspects of the system. However, there are some disconnects between the training material, and the subsequent testing of individual knowledge. I found the easiest way to overcome these gaps was to use the system to fully understand its capabilities. In turn, this promoted a deeper knowledge of the system which turned out to be of benefit in any case.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp is particularly helpful for coordinating the completion of hundreds of deliverables spread across numerous functions and sub-functions. Specifically, the enablement of individual package managers to easily administer their portfolios, and the systems subsequent ability to roll these efforts up to provide a portfolio view is incredibly powerful.
"Unrivaled flexibility"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
It is able to perform a multitude of different functions & roles. The information can be tailored to specific departments or personnel to make collaboration much more efficient and seamless. So, it has tremendous flexibility to solve a number of issues well beyond the scope of task management and you will continue to find more uses for it as you develop further with the application. If you start out tackling specific problems and then expand, it is easy to get started, but I have seen people go too big too soon and overwhelm personnel.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
The thing most people struggle with is there are often multiple ways to tackle a problem using the software, so flexibility is a bit of a double-edged sword and it does take some time to get your head around having different views and having some info on some screen but not on others based on how it is setup. Speed-wise, the software is sufficient, but any additional speed would be appreciated.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
We try to keep everything inside of ClipUp, and having the flexibility to take on just about anything means that it has almost become the operating system of the business.
"Great tool for collaboration"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I've been using it for over a year now and I love how makes my workflow easier in my film production. I have different spaces for kinds of proyects and then listings for each one. I love how easy I can add tasks and assign someone to it. i also use it for events Im doing just myself to organize and set deadlines so I wont forget anything. I like how it syncs with the app.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I find it not that friendly at first for users not much technologically involved. So in that cases I got to take some time teaching them how it works. Which is time consuming.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my job I have to handle many events of a different kind that even the event date would not be all the same date, all the preproduction happens in pararell. So Clickup allows me to switch easily from one to another as a task status has change. As I can duplicate a list with all the tasks in it, I can add a new event for track in seconds. This allows me to keep on track with all of them and never forget anything important for the production.
"Great product for project management"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
We are using ClickUp for 2 years, easy usage for project and people management. We can easily integrate projects and use for agile project management.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I would prefer to undo some auto actions.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
ClickUp solves several problems in our project management and team collaboration by offering an all-in-one platform for task tracking, goal setting, and communication.
1. Fragmented Tools: It consolidates multiple tools (e.g., task management, time tracking, document storage, communication) into one platform, reducing the need to juggle different applications.
2. Lack of Clarity: ClickUp helps colleagues gain clarity on project timelines, task dependencies, and progress with customizable views (such as lists, Gantt charts, and calendars).
3. Inefficient Collaboration: The platform fosters collaboration by enabling teams to comment, assign tasks, and share files in real time, which helps streamline communication.
4. Difficulty Tracking Performance: With features like goal tracking, progress monitoring, and reporting, ClickUp allows managers and teams to track performance metrics more easily.
ClickUp benefits for us by improving productivity through better project organization, easier communication, and greater flexibility in tracking UAV-related tasks, algorithms, and simulation projects we working on.
"Excellent project management suite - highly recommend"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Clear, intuitive framework, great functionality and appealing design. As with most PM software, you get out what you put in and it needs full team collaboration to get best results; my team has mixed abilities and varying levels of enthusiasm for keeping things out of Teams/email so bringing everyone along on the journey has been a challenge. I suspect there are many more benefits to Clickup than I'm taking advantage of, for this reason.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
No criticisms. It's annoying this is a compulsory field with minimum character count though (while I'm in feedback mode)
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's:
Taking unnecessary conversations out of other platforms and keeping them in a single place for ease of tracking
Giving us oversight of task and project progress
Replacing calendar reminders for due dates
Allowing us to break down bigger projects into component parts for resource allocation
"Free version surprisingly good"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The user interface is quite clean and everything works well. Rarely do you ever have to wait for anything to load.
I am not experienced in project management software and was looking for something simple and basic. Clickup did everything I wanted well and offered some extra things too.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
There are so many features available and that is great, but sometimes it seems some are redundant and they can clutter the interface. In particular the AI assistant popups in the bottom right often get in the way of things I need to see.
This can make it confusing for other team members, so they will be less likely to use a Clickup board you've created.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily the problem it solves is keeping track of tasks that need to be done, and secondarily reminding people to do them. The email notification feature was the reason I chose this over Github projects, where I could not easily figure out how to get the same function.
The ability to write comments and descriptions ends up being good for keeping notes on parts of the project. Although these are not unique features, they are well integrated in Clickup and it's easy to read and write comments and descriptions.
"Rigid enough for good structure, customizable enough for flexibility"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I love the solid structure in which I'm able to make lists, keep it organized in the way I want, add custom fields, and personalize the set up in the manner most advantageous to me. I use it every day at work and it allows me to keep track of my tasks. Because it's so easy to learn and get a hold of, my teammates are able to see exactly where I'm at and can check up on task statuses without calling me on days off.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
I once experienced my list in clickup being completely transformed into an empty default list once and it was a huge setback. It was no longer able to see the tasks, the templates were gone, and it looked like a default empty list. History of change was not visible + it was not even in the trash.
Reaching out to Customer service did help me as they got it back a few days later, but having to re-input all my information + remake the custom statuses and comments since I needed the information that same day was incredibly furstrating.
However that only happened once, months ago, and I've been using it every day since !
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using ClickUp for task management in a paper-trail based environment allows for ease of searching tasks, easy tracability, and removes the need to depend on one person's individual access to a specific physical folder.
"Click Up is a feature rich, customizable powerhouse for managing projects & tasks as a solopreneur."
What do you like best about ClickUp?
I love the customizations for task types, color codiing, automation workflows (BUILT IN), integrations, custom fields, and the continued improvements by the Click Up Team.
I haven't used integrations too much yet, because I'm a solopreneur and not working with a team. I haven't had the bandwidth to take advantage of the ways Click up could integrate with Notion (for example). I love that there are options though.
It took me awhile to setup ClickUp in a way that works for me, but it's coming together. Layla at ProcessDriven (on YouTube) was a HUGE help in this area. Even though I've tried numerous other list programs, I stick with ClickUP and use it almost daily.
When I've contacted customer support, I've had helpful and kind support.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
There are a couple customizations that have never been made available which many users have requested. The biggest one has been changing the color of Completed tasks. Completed Tasks are color coded green and you cannot change it. This doesn't make sense from a color level, or a customization level.
Another is that some of the color customization is limited and people would like the ability to align colors with their branding.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clickup helps me track projects and ideas for content creation. I LOVE that I can easily switch the way I visualize my projects and how much I can customize views. I need a solid place to keep ideas, track progress, and review archived content and Click Up works for me in that area.
"Achieve more with less effort"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The balance between features and pricing is great.
The implementation only take hours because there are a lot of templates to speed up your onboarding, it is very intuitive and it has the number of features that most of PMs and business leaders may used or require.
You are backed up by a team of customer and technical support all along the way.
We use ClickUp on a daily basis in our daily meetings to allign resources and measure goals. We have already integrated with our email and other applications.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Does not has an import feature to import files from MS Project
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
Define and share IT business goalds and strategic innitiatives sharing
Project Management with customized fields to allow to measure business related KPIs
Sharing information with external consultants and stakeholders
Automating task reminders and project due dates
Vendor onboarding and invoice authorization process
Security incedent management to document workarounds and corrective actions planning and deployment
Business projects such as store opennings and remodeling chores
Horizontal collaboration between diffrerente departments
"Extraordinary When Used Collaboratively"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
Although I really appreciate ClickUp for helping keep track of ongoing tasks on a personal level, where I think it really shines is when used collaboratively between a team. The ability to leave comments that are visible between all members of a workspace and attach items, move status, etc. was a game changer for my sales team. We would often be working on 20+ large projects at a given time, so being able to have an archive of communication and progress on each project was what made ClickUp so useful for us. I would absolutely 100% recommend the app to anybody trying to keep projects organized within a group, or even just on a personal basis.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
We were slightly limited in our ability to integrate our ClickUp workspace with the CRM our team uses, Zoho & Zoho Desk. However, after many workarounds we were able to set it up in a way that suited our needs. Also, in the beginning trying to set up notifications according to your preferences is a daunting and time-consuming task. There are a huge number of options in ClickUp's settings, and it took awhile to figure out how to get everything the way we needed it to be.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned previously, our Sales team was managing a very large amount of projects at any given time. Before using ClickUp, things would get lost or forgotten about when solely relying on verbal communication and memory amongst team members. Having a one-stop location for everyone on the team to keep track of what we had going on was a huge game changer for organization and task efficiency.
"Amazing tool"
What do you like best about ClickUp?
The ease to use.
Clickup is gorgeous, quite simple to use and after a few momments looking and exploring, you get used to it and we use clickup daily!
I can't see our company withou it.
We can coordinate everything we are working with.
It's possible to create agendas, tables, lists all we want.
Its just perfect.
The migration was quite simple, and the implementation was smooth for the team.
What do you dislike about ClickUp?
Price for small companies like mine.
We don't have lots of people in our team, so subscribing to clickup bussiness gets quite expensive.
Furthermore we live in brazil. And our currency is quite bad.
Paying 12 bucks per user per month, costs 5 times more for us living here.
What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always had problems with appointments and organizating our ideas and tasks.
Clickup is helpping A LOT to organize our daily job.
We can put everything in one place, assign people, SLA and schedule the most urgent tasks.
I'm even using a personal account for personal tasks, like grocery list and home/personal life tasks.
