It would be more helpful if there was an option to manipulate and override amounts when drafting invoices. Complex client contracts can be tricky for billing, and employee timesheets and expenses are not always straight forward when it comes to this.

At this time, all concerns have been addressed, and BigTime was able to provide a solution or at least let us know that it wasn't possible to resolve.

What do you like best about BigTime?
My favorite thing about BigTime is it creates a smooth sail for our billings and helps us stay balanced in profitability on projects. Everything is detailed, from time tracking tools so no billable hours are missed to the software’s budgeting feature which helps us to avoid spending budgets. Our timesheets never miss since we use automated reminders along with everyone being accountable, which has improved our invoicing accuracy and revenue tracking.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
The notification system of BigTime is not really quite efficient as it sends a lot of notifications that could be ignorable most of the time. This have created a sense of fatigue among the team members with notification where sometimes they fail to respond to alert due to high numbers. Also, it is desirable to have more detailed settings playing with notifications so that only the most important ones are in the highlight.

BigTime has made the process of billing accurate and efficient because it minimizes instances of manually entering numbers which leads to mistakes while the software ensures it records every billable hour. This has greatly reduced our revenue since it avoids the situation where work hours are overlooked and it makes billing easier. Regarding the resource management components of the software, it is also possibly to assign team members to projects according to their availability which optimizes load and increases general team efficiency.

I have to say that BigTime is special to me because it is able to synchronize time tracking, project management and invoicing at once. With hours logging, invoicing and project progress tracking we’re in good stead. One of the big advantages has been its integration with QuickBooks and how we don’t have to do extra work to keep our financial data in sync with it. It has greatly improved our efficiency and accuracy of managing client work.

It is crucial to note that while using BigTime, there is a lack of flexibility in the reporting option. While using this method, it may take lot of time to prepare report and search for relevant data. This becomes a problem when we want to get deeper and faster into the numbers, an aspect that slows down decision making when assessing project performance. Something that impacts our working operations when accuracy of the information is an issue.
What problems is BigTime solving and how is that benefiting you?
BigTime has helped to reduce manual operations in our firm to a large extent. They are valuable in that it consolidates our time sheets, accounts receivables, and projects, which in turn enable smoother processes. Some of these have been automated for efficiency and precision especially when billing clients has been given much attention. This automation has enabled us to maintain steady the execution of our projects while at the same time achieving our monetary goals with less errors.

Pricing is high for business under 3 employees. Even though its advertised as so much a month you get charged more. The training progress is on your own. Customer service is poor at best. Unable to speak to a human. Issues will billing, invoicing takes weeks to get fixed.

I love BigTime’s complete time tracking and billing features. It’s user friendly, so my team can easily log hours and expenses. It went great, and the support team has been super great at answering any questions we had. For example, the integration with our existing tools has had a positive influence by integrating our workflow along with our projects.

User interface design for BigTime should be improved, some things feel outdated and in need of a refresh. In addition, the support team usually does help but their response times tend to be slow during busy times. The last thing is that the pricing structure is a little confusing because the features that comes with each plan is not very quite clear.

These challenges have once in a while hampered the flow of our business and called for some repairs.

As all these are done in one place, it helps me to save so much time and do them with less chances of making mistakes. It has also made coordination easier because all of us are using the platform for updates and deadlines. By far, BigTime’s most impressive feature is the project management and time tracking that came with it. Another feature that we greatly appreciated was quick integration with QuickBooks which makes the billing and financial reporting processes much easier. The rich set of dashlets and real time reports offered by the application give very accurate insight of the project and resources status. The ease of operations and the capabilities to modify most aspects also help to make for a better and more productive project.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
There is though one drawback, which is when more detailed reports are being prepared the system slows down a bit, especially during peak usage. The user interface is often filled with lots of features that could make it even harder to switch from one to the other. Also, the integration with some of the third party apps may be challenging, additional configurations, and assistance may be needed. These problems have resulted in the lateness of reports and diffusions of tasks in the organization.

BigTime meets challenges of complicated project management and time line measurement with its functions. It has also ease billing and financial aspects of our business since it can easily integrate with our accounting system. The detailed dashboards and reporting pillars of the software are crucial for tracking project completion and resource consumption. Consequently, it has enhanced our efficiency and effectiveness in project performance and in dealing with time and division of financial reports.

Implementation team and support team have been phenomenal. Everyone I have dealt with has been awesome.

This program has so many great features that more expensive options don't have, and the integration with QBO was seamless and so simple that even a newbie like me didn't have any problems.
I last used BigTime 20 years ago when it was not much more than a time tracker, and for that reason I initially steered away from it. But the comparably high costs of the competitors' options convinced me to give it a try, and I'm glad I did!
I could not be happier with my choice and could not recommend it any more. I use it every day, all day, for all my projects.
(As a side note, I work for myself and offer consulting engineering services. But I just found out that one of my ex-partners at my old company also uses BigTime for his company - which has dozens of employees and millions in revenue. And he loves it too. So a great option for companies of all sizes!)
What do you dislike about BigTime?
Quite literally - nothing.
There are some minor features that I would like to see BigTime add, but nothing major. The few minor features that I have suggested have already been identified and are reportedly "in the pipeline".
And this is a BIG differentitator with BigTime: the team is keen for feedback and works hard to continually improve the program. They take feature requests VERY seriously, and it shows in the constant evolution of the program!!
What problems is BigTime solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used BigTime 20 years ago when it was not much more than a time tracker. I initially steered away from it and looked at several other competitor products - but then decided to give it a try as it was considerably cheaper than the comparable alternatives. So glad that I did!! The UI is super intuitive and easy to use and the implementation and support teams have been awesome. Everyone has been a pleasure to deal with. What do you like best about BigTime?
It strikes an excellent balance of being clean, simple, and intuitive - while being highly customizable, thorough and detailed. The implenetation team (Cyann) was incredible. The whole process was incredilby professional - we were very impressed. We kept thinking if we knew it would have been this easy to switch we would have done it long ago! We can now have a simple and organized time tracking system, robust business kpi tracking, AND now also using BigTime Wallet as well! Our clients have loved having an online portal that displays all invoices, and allows payment right there. It has been a huge improvement already for us - highly reccomend!

Our ability to manage our resources in projects, while forecasting out the next several months of availability have really helped us. As a small shop, we were using excel for tracking and it just didn't translate into consistency of invoice or data tracking. Big Time solved those issues and made my role for invoicing much more efficient.

What do you like best about BigTime?
I enjoy overall project setup and management, and invoicing of projects. BigTime flows almost seamlessly with QBO, qhich is important to our company. The software is relatively easy to teach to yourself, it took a few weeks at first but once I got the hang of setting up projects and invoicing, the rest flowed. I also enjoy the utility and margin reports I can get very quickly.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
There are small glitches, for example, when I open WIP and clear all filters it works, but if I leave the WIP page and go back, the same filter will be applied. There are also times where I will try to post expenses and time to projects that have been input, and the error message doesn't give guidance, it ends up showing code that I have to decipher to understand.
What problems is BigTime solving and how is that benefiting you?
BigTime helps me manage my project budgets, it tracks live with input time, so as long as employees are inputting time to the right project and task, I know instantaneously where my budgets are at.

What do you like best about BigTime?
The feature that I find most valuable about BigTime is that it offers an extensive project management feature. The software offers highly effective time tracking, expenses tracking, and invoicing, which are crucial for our business. We integrate it into QuickBooks, and this has helped us a lot in our financial operations. The reporting tools are also huge as they assist us in monitoring the projects’ progress and profitability on the go. This has really eased our operations by enhancing the flow of work and increasing the rate of productivity.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
A weakness of BigTime is that it is somewhat slow from time to time. Its major drawback is that particularly during very active shifts, it may take a relatively long time to answer queries which among other things slows down our productivity. Also, the graphical user interface is not well thought out and it takes new staff a while to figure out. Such have resulted in a slowdown of project management and needed the project team to undergo further training, this put a dent in productivity.

I must say that applying BigTime has significantly affected the way we work on our projects and manage our finances. It effectively addresses two problems of tracking time and expenses manually - it minimizes mistakes and provides time saving. If it is integrated with QuickBooks, then it updates our financial data quickly and efficiently. This has brought about accurate issuing of invoices, proper management of finances and hence increased efficiency and high quality in executing this service to our clients.

My favorite thing about BigTime is its overall ability to handle project management. One of them is time tracking which helps us to remain accurate in recording hours and managing the projects on time. Another strong feature is the invoicing feature where it is easy to create and send invoices to the clients. The customer support is exceptional as the team is quick to respond to questions from the customers. This software has effectively enhanced the manner in which we organize our projects and the efficiency with which we accomplish them.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
A disadvantage of BigTime is the inability to customize report formats to our preferred fit. However, if the reporting options have to be adjusted, the process can be a bit time consuming and sometimes even a little frustrating. Moreover, the functionality of the mobile app is not as comprehensive as in the desktop version, which complicates our work when we are out of the office. Such issues have resulted in wastage of time and workload to the team.

BigTime project has significantly improved the efficiency of our capacity to manage projects and track time. A good and smooth integration of this software with QuickBooks has made the process of billing and invoicing seamless, with little effort put into it and producing correct results. There are many tools of project tracking and reporting in detail helping monitor the success of a project and proper usage of resources. These have promoted orderliness, efficiency and accuracy in billing much to the gains of the team and clients.

What do you like best about BigTime?
The main reason I am so pleased with BigTime is their Customer Service team members, especially the Customer Success Managers . They are so knowledgeable about the software they use and how to make it work for our company, they are easy to talk to, and they are super quick with troubleshooting, quick fixes and work-arounds. One thing I love about working with Colton Ksiazek, Tejaci Patel, and Marc Meiklejohn is that they feel like a friend I could reach out to about any issues I encounter. They are always happy to help making sure BigTime works and functions how I need for our company (we are very specific!). They go above and beyond, even learning code to ensure that everything is as detailed as we wanted it to be. My issues are always heard with open ears and a willingess to ensure I leave our meetings happy with the results. A special shoutout to Piner Markovchick, he is a true asset to the company and knows the product inside and out. Having Piner on the team has made the BigTime software really shine, as he can help dig into the features of BigTime and it helps showcase the software abilities. I hope this team is recognized for their efforst and support in a monitary way. Very pleased : )
What do you dislike about BigTime?
I currently don't see any downsides. While some things are not yet available in BigTime (certain functions or options), BigTime encourages feedback to allow for continious changes and growth to meet the needs of their cients.

Our invoices were able to be created by the automated software BT provides, but when we wanted a different template and none of the options available to use created what we wanted, BT fixed it by allowing us to code our very own template.

What do you like best about BigTime?
BigTime is heavily used in our organization for timekeeping and project deliverable management. The ease of use and numerous features have made it an indispensable tool for our team. I also appreciate the fact that, although the tool has its shortcomings, these are mitigated by the quick and amazing customer support. Furthermore, I have come to enjoy the tool even more after seeing how easy it is to integrate into other systems, and the API access has made things a lot more interesting.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
The reporting section really needs to be improved. While the information is displayed, it's difficult to understand and verify the data because there's not enough information on how the fields are calculating the numbers. I also don't like how useful features are offered as new standalone products instead of being integrated with updates for existing customers.

BigTime has solved time tracking-related problems to better understand our staff's availability. We also have oversight on active engagements and can invoice directly from the tool into other systems like Quickbooks, which is a big plus. Recently, we have also used automated tasks, which allow project managers to keep an overall lookout on how the teams are performing and project updates.

The most impressive advantage characteristic for BigTime is its good functionality and efficient integration with QuickBooks. It is a very simple process to track the billable hours and manage expenses. Installation went easily, and their customer service support is marvellous. We have witnessed a tremendous change in the efficiency of our workflow due to the fact that the software’s intuitive interface has become a big advantage for us during project management and invoicing.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
Mobile app of BigTime is not so developed as desktop version which causes one of the disadvantages of BigTime. This has made it difficult for us to log hours on the go because we are forced to waste time switching to other apps constantly. Besides that, on occasion the reports can be time consuming to generate and this holds up the billing process. Nevertheless, these minor weak points can sometimes create technical interruptions in our work routine and thus increase the amount of time required for management of the situation.

BigTime is a winner when it comes to helping a company resolve its project management and time tracking challenges. Thank to the fact that it’s made our billing much more precise with fewer errors and ultimately higher revenues. When we started it was all about invoicing. Which is now 100% better and more standardized. There is also better access for our staff, more professional looking reporting, easier access to data for our project managers, better workflow for our pm's, helps us scale our company.

Keeping track of expenses and input in relations to invoicing. Being able to see when we are going over an original amount on a jobs original balance. We also like the tracking of what has been invoiced what can be closed out, earnings. Also being able to add to the job, not having to create multiple jobs for the same area or client.

Not being able to attach documents to the jobs created. We are currently looking at different integrations to use, that will help us in transferring over job information which will help in the error of job set up. We have documents as in proposals, drawings, purchase order receipts if those items were able to be saved under the job itself would help in errors for inputing the details of the job and purchase orders for the job itself.

It's helping as I mentioned before in expense management, billing, and project management. Really helps us see how our budget for each project is being distributed and how we can improve on certain areas.

What do you like best about BigTime?
The implementation process was great. Our implementer was very accommodating to our needs and helped us get Bigtime up and running for our company. We have been on Bigtime since February and have found it very easy to use and it meets our needs. Our firm's speciality and project/contract structure is not typical of most firms and so far Bigtime is able to work for us and our implementer was very helpful in figuring out the best way to set our projects up. We are just now diving into analytics and reporting and look forward to what data we can get to assist in our efficiency and success.

Because of our contract structure, the invoicing process is a bit tedious and manual but it is more reliable in generating accurate invoices then our previous PSA.

What do you like best about BigTime?
The ability to have attractive, simple billing options at the front end for customers, with ability to have detailed budgeting and costing information behind the scenes. It is a friendly system for time entry for engineers as well. so makes them productive. We are looking forward to the updated mobile app. Reporting is good. It takes some time to learn the system, but the implementation team from BigTime is there to provide consistent guidance.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
Engineers have to be careful when editing a week for time that you don't inadvertantly delete an entire week. Matching hard dollar cost items with profit margin then doing recurring billing is difficult. It is impossible to "kit" a product to sell using different (costed) parts if desiring to sell as one unit.
What problems is BigTime solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have much more granularity about what is happening in budgets and assigning costs. The billing interface is very friendly.

The time sheet portion of BigTime does not have the flexibility that we had with our previous software and creating reports is cumbersome.

Is time-consuming to implement and having a person that can dedicate most of their time would be very helpful.
What problems is BigTime solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have only done minimal billing with Big Time, but I believe that will help resolve issues with satellite office invoices. I also believe that if we can get our project managers trained they will be very happy with the tools they have at their disposal to make their projects more profitable. We have not realized these benefits yet. We are a small company and its difficult to set aside the amount of time we need for training to utilize this software to its full capacity.

Customer support for BigTime is second to none. Their live chat feature has helped me and my engineering firm through more hurdles than I can count. Their support team is extremely knowledgeable about the software platform and helps nagivate through difficult questions very seamlessly.
The software itself is the main draw. It is easy to use, contains many of the features you would expect from this type of platform, and is presented in an appealing way. Our firm enjoys the various pages dedicated to specific functions to assist us in our daily activities. From time keeping to project management, our team uses BigTime each day for the continued success of our firm.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
Some of the features included within the software platform can be difficult to understand how to utilize properly or understand their connection to other areas in the software. There can be certain areas that seem to require more steps or more clicks to accomplish a goal than might seem necessary.

BigTime helps our firm navigate through and solve many day to day issues, including managing employee timesheets, project management tasks, expenses, and invoicing.

Big Time has shortened the time it takes to invoice with a simple screen review and subsequent email to the client. This program is also much easier to maneuver vs our prior invoicing program. We are also able to easily view "account aging" at a glance which is a great managerial tool! We are also able to view past invoices at a glance by client, a big time saver.

What do you like best about BigTime?
I have been using BigTime for several years now and have been so happy. Previously, I had purchased a very expensive software platform for time tracking and invoicing, however, the learning curve was steep and it did not integrate with the accounting software we were using at the time. BigTime has been exactly what I was looking for. Not only does it allow me to easily track my time, but it also converts the time spent into easy to create invoices that can then be automatically synced with Quickbooks. It was incredibly easy to learn and I was able to get started right away with no lengthy tutorials. BigTimt handles countless projects, multiple unique phases in each, and I can create custom reports so that I can track the data I need to track. The customer support has also been very helpful with questions I have had. I use it every single day. I truly love BigTime and have recommended it to many other professionals.
What do you dislike about BigTime?
The only thing I would like would be a one-click timer that toggles the timer on and off with one less click. Currently, when you click "start" or "pause", another screen pops up where you have to click "start" or "pause" again. You can't just do it in one click
