"Integrated, seamless and well supported"
What do you like best about Accelo?
We were able to consolidate and unify: contact management, sales pipeline, project setup and timesheeting, payments and ticketing in to a single, integrated experience. Removing the various stand-alone solutions we used, both paid services and custom-development.
The implementation, setup and configuration and onboarding was excellent, and the adoption specialists in Accelo team in region really knew their way around typical customer scenarios and how to apply with the different modules. We knew alot of what we did was not unique, and in places not very efficient and the skillful way they guided us through the implementation really showed an understanding of both the platform, typical customer needs and implementation patterns, and when we had really unique requirements - how to address them.
It integrates into our core productivity suite on 365 for linking to calendar, communications and there's a mobile app which is essential for mobile professionsal services consultants. This enables us to track timesheets, job management, and lead to sale to project conversion at the point of where we work - and not constantly changing between platforms. Because we have our project delivery and ticketing in the platform, we all use various modules in the suite every day.
Where we've had issues with functionality, or in one case problems from post v4 enhancement releases changing how functionality works, the support team have been great. They always within SLA, really understand the product, and when we end-up with product team behind support the hand-off is seamless. Again the process is really well managed. Most things were readily resolved, the odd one which couldnt be has, in 1 case, resulted in our contributing to the development backlog and roadmap investment.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
There are some annoyances, and most are minor so far. Mostly little things like:
1. Creating appointment for Microsoft Teams meeting doesnt get automatically captured by Accelo events in time-tracking, like creating a standard meeting or appointment in Outlook calendar - even though both create the same underlying booking;
2. updates to the mobile app made 1 key activities with time-management more difficult when the feature was moved, and functionaly was reduced over previous release. Unfortunately mobile app was a primary purchasing feature for one of the Director(s), so this didn't go down well.
3. the contact management UX updates with v4 release removed multi-column filtering, or using alternative columns, besides contact's name, to sort.
4. the fact you can't add multiple task-owners in project, means time-tracking becomes a bit skewed
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small, professional services organisation provide 365 consultancy and business-process solutions, we have the same challenges as large IT Consultancies but have to operate on fraction of the costs and resources. We operate across highly regulated industries, and different geographies, mostly working remotely and with high-degree of movement for our staff working in multiple clients and on several projects at any one time. Having been around more than 18-years, we developed various bad-habits, work-arounds, and acquired a set of tools overtime which were not very good a working together.
When one of core application providers decided to remove the project resource management toolset without a roadmap. We took the opportunity to review the range of modern tools and platforms, and looked over and compared multiple offerings from Monday.com through to Accelo. We settled on Accelo because it covered everything from our contacts, sales, contracts, project and resourcing, retainer mgmt and ticketing while providing extensive integrated reporting and a mobile experience. We could modernise our tools, remove 4 different providers and take opportunity to clean-up our business processes for: Contact and Sales management, Project coordination and time-management, and Customer portal and ticketing.
Accelo was it cost effective and the user's experience is consistent, integrated and seamless across all the different modules from CRM, sales, project mgmt, timesheeting, support ticketing and invoicing. We get out-of-the-box reporting and tracking, which is up to date, showing what's actually happening in our business.

What I like best about Accelo is its seamless ability to bring all aspects of project and client management into one centralized platform. While Accelo is an excellent tool overall, there are a few areas where it could improve. The customisation options, while robust, can sometimes feel a bit limited, especially when trying to tailor certain workflows or reports to fit unique business needs.

What do you like best about Accelo?
As our low volt campany continues to grow in different directions, Accelo is able to grow along with us. Integrating sales, project management, service calls, and billing in one platform has been more than worth the effort. The team behind Accelo continues to provide excellent support, quickly and clearly, with options and best practices. We use Accelo at every level of our company, from full time office staff to full time field techs. As the team grows, adding users is a simple process. Regardless of the platform, be it PC or mobile, we are able to onboard a new tech quickly with minimal learing curve on Accelo. The day to day functions of the platform, from scheudling to accessing client data, allow us to be fluid and grow. With the new version 4 rolling out, we have found new features and functions that make the processes of scheduling and tasks even easier to use.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
The mobile app is the weakest point from a management perspective. For the end-user in the field, the function is enough on Android and iOS, but the web portal is more potent for management and billing. Client facing portal is something we have not used.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
Understand that you are buying into a custom product and will need to put forth some effort to fine tune the system to your needs. This is the nature of a custom system. The return on your time and money is well spent with Accelo.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform allowed us to centralize and streamline our scheduling, project maangement, and service tracking, as well as to be able to better visualize the labor and monetary aspects of our work. We can better track all metrics internally and in near real-time, resulting in increased profit and customer satisfaction. The ability to have data flow between the office and the field allows us to support customers in one call.

What do you dislike about Accelo?
There are multiple ways of doing things that are confusing for teams, you have to go through way to many steps to complete a simple task. Their training for my team only covered the very basics and when requesting training multiple times I recieved little support or costs of over $5000 for things we should have been trained in from the beginning. When trying to get assistance because we were unhappy with their product and service they just kept trying to sign us onto longer contract commitments rather than helping us out. we used Accelo since 2020 until November 2024 and we should have dropped it after 3 months of trying it out. big mistake. A warning to others - They are very good on the sell and upsell but once signed up , the service level drops and it feels like a money grab. There are plenty of other systems out there that are less cumbersome , better value and offer better service.

"Powerful Communication Tools for the Entire Organization"
What do you like best about Accelo?
The sheer number of fuctions that Accelo offers across the entire agency process: tracking leads and clients; tracking projects, tickets, and tasks; managing retainers, invoices, and billing. Accelo is like a Swiss Army knife for agencies. Plus, the assignment of permissions that allow staff to use those parts of the system applicable to them, along with granularity for many of its functions. The way that Accelo connects to the outside world (particuarly in relation to automatically matching customers to tickets). Once configured, it is the type of system that can fit natually into being used all day, every day, without strain inside an agency. (Note that it might have applicability outside of agencies, but I have only used in an agency environment.) Finally, there are mobile versions. I have montiored things on a phone and done work on a tablet. Not recommending that for daily operations, but it was very helpful in a pinch.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
The only downside is the new logo. It doesn't show up when using Accelo in dark mode in a browser. That makes it hard to find Accelo in a sea of tabs. Other than that, there is a lot to love with Accelo.

It's just so expansive so has taken a long time to adjust to and find my way around. The retainer functionality doesn't quite align with the way we plan our work, so that has been challenging.

Accelo really shines with its project management and CRM integration. It’s awesome having everything I need in one place, and the automation helps me stay on top of tasks without getting overwhelmed.

The system can be a bit tricky to get the hang of, especially with some of the more advanced features. I’ve also run into a few glitches that threw me off track. Overall, it’s a solid tool, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

What do you like best about Accelo?
I use Accelo every day for work. It is convenient that it syncs with Gmail, so I can easily log my time for emails on my daily timesheet. I like how I can manage my tickets and tasks and track their progress through statuses.
I have reached out to their support team a few times, and the questions were resolved quickly.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
While Gmail is integrated, a few emails seem to fall between the cracks. Most emails show up in my daily timesheet, but usually there are one or two missing.
I wish ticket statuses would update automatically based on email conversations, or that there was a checkbox when sending an email so I can easily update the status from there. Otherwise it's easy to forgot and the statuses aren't accurate.

There are still some bugs here and there. Specifically, my biggest things are: I dont like how tickets status are not dynamic and how the logic behind retainers goes. Timesheets are also not my favourite as there is a lot of search needed as the system dynamically keeps lots of activities open

Accelo is making my life with retainers and projects easier with all the tools it has. It is also facilitating the visibility of projects for clients. Makes it a very easy one stop shop to have everything together which is great!

Invoicing and visibility of project retainer budgets. Setting up repeaters and invoicing clients is very easy compared to have two different systems (e.g. used to use Jira and Xero and have to create integrations that may break).

Lots of features still missing, e.g. the typing experience in Jira/Notion with smart text everywhere is far more capable. E.g. writing and logging tasks in description is only simple text, so we have to doa workaround of logging in the stream for detailed explanation. Sometimes images don't even work properly. Also no dark mode.

Timetracking has always been difficult - so having timers available is very easy

What do you like best about Accelo?
We use Accelo everyday for our bsiness and one of the best things about Accelo is that it can replace a lot of tools and centralise the work and company information in one place, from emails, tickets, projects, invoices, etc. it has the ability to integrate to a handful of common tools. Customer support is fantastic and always quick to respond. A lot can be customised to suit various workflows. The time tracking is fantastic in being able to track time on mostly everything, without needing to use a different tool.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
Like any PSA tool, it can take some time to setup. The downside to having everything in a central place is when you rely on it, when somethings don't work or some integrations being a bit basic, it can be difficult to then want to use it as central information. Lots of feature requests which seem to be coated in dust from years ago, but with the new V4 update, I'd love to see some of these feature requests actually actioned to make Accelo into a greater product!

Accelo solves our problems of time tracking and centralising client information, we can see all of our clients projects, tasks, tickets, and emails back and forth, without having to switch multiple apps or lose information. This saves a time and makes Accelo a single source of truth.

Staying in touch and managing projects with my staff and clients has never been easier than with Accelo. Now everything from client emails and files to appointments and notes can be automatically tracked and shared with my entire team. It has also been great for sales; we are automating operations and gaining visibility for expansion.

Because there are so many options it can be tricky when you're setting things up. There are many ways to do one thing but not all of them will be right for your business.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
I highly recommend starting the build-out process with Accelo BEFORE you start using the system and adding information. Our team jumped into full work mode out of the gate and while the experience for all of us was invaluable we had to do a lot of backtracking because we didn't fully understand how everything interacted or depended on each other. There are a lot of dependencies in the system and if you don't understand them before you start adding things it creates a lot of garbage in the system.

Having all our projects and schedules in one place makes it easier to manage resources.

Accelo's focus on simplification and maximum performance is one of the reasons I appreciate it. There are many useful elements in the interface that allow me to do my job better; it's a great option for getting things done in the real world. The speed of response from the support team is decent, although there is no chronological order in their responses and sometimes they respond in the wrong order.

The integration of numerous work contracts has helped us achieve optimal performance; it's nice, convenient and has yielded great results. The importance of an effective project management system to achieve objectives is something that Accelo has instilled in us as leaders. It makes it easy for us to locate different resources, manage requirements and control tasks in the right order.

Accelo is housing all of our delivery assets in one location, is providing us with a helpful resource for resource management, and is providing a direct tie for project budgets/time tracking for employees. With all of our project data housed in one location, we are able to analyze quoting/project success to make data-driven business decisions.

The ability to combine your CRM, Project Management Tools, Ticketing, Time Tracking, Billing and Sales all in one!! No other system that does it better!
I've seen Accelo implemented more than once, which is why I chose it as our ultimate one system to rule them all! Works amazing in the digital marketing space, and beats any of it's competitors like Monday, Hub Spot, Pipedrive and the likes...
Beyond just the platform, the team and customer support is exceptional, all the way from the demo phase to the onboarding and system migration/implementation/integration, you cannot fault Accelo.
Overall, including the ease of use and intuitive interface, Accelo is the go to daily tool any agency should consider using. It brings you great reporting, visibility and deliverability that is second to none!

Not much to dislike, but could do with more automation features!
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining all our different systems into one, where we now can manage our client records, projects, tickets, time tracking, billing and sales.
Historically, we were using a handful of different systems to do this, and for a digital marketing agency with over 500 clients, this transition to Accelo was a no-brainer for us!
If you have any doubts about moving across, don't! Accelo delivers in all respects, which is very hard to come by in the tech world.

What do you like best about Accelo?
Task and email management are built into the ecosystem, with seamless time logging and billing. I haven't seen this offered anywhere else. Rather than just integrate with your email, you can work from within the program all the while recording your time and billing rate for each task automatically.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
It can be very daunting when first starting out due to the sheer amount of capabilities and options available. Everything is connected so a simple mistake early on in your workflow such as how you set up your tasks can show up eventually when billing. I recommend working with their professional services team to get your workflow set up properly and avoid the headache of the trial and error approach. I worked with Siobhan and she was very adaptable to my learning style and schedule, which is very rare in the consulting space! I highly recommend this option rather than stumbling through it as I first did.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
If you aren't already working with a proper workflow, I recommend setting these up first for your company so you can do an organized implementation. I recommend splurging for the customized setup and training, it's really worth it. I know they're working now on their training and ease of onboarding so this should only improve.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
My biggest problem has been that after my workday, even if I've completed a full day's work, I'm never able to relax. Due to the number of clients I work with, each with their issues and details to keep on top of, my evenings and weekends consisted of reviewing my work in my head to make sure that I didn't miss anything. I'm very organized but still had too much trouble trying to see all my current work right in front of me to where I can confidently shut off for the day. Learning to use Accelo properly means that I can now be sure that I record an issue correctly as it happens. Almost as important, I can now recall these notes very quickly, even if I'm jumping from one client meeting to another, or just picking up a call and being able to catch up on the situation. I've barely scratched the surface as I'm only using a few tools so far and I'm working on perfecting them. I used to dread when clients called with a new issue as this is another thing that I have to keep on top of. I always felt like I needed to finish all of my work to be able to stop. Now I can just schedule new tasks immediately and let the client know then when I'll be able to complete this for them. So I don't have to always play catch up or do the work from the client who's shouting the loudest.

Accelo allows us to easily know the critical information about each project. Keeping a project on schedule and on budget is so much better now that we are using Accelo to do it.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
We are constantly having to monitor where hours are being placed by Accelo in retainer periods. If we leave a retainer period from a previous month open, Accelo will often assign entered hours to an old retainer period even though the dates dont match.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure projects are staying on budget, and knowing where projects are financially during the entire process is a problem we dealt with for years before Accelo. Now we have it in real time, anytime. Accelo is saving us time, which saves us money.

What do you like best about Accelo?
The CRM tool is very helpful for quickly reading customer messages and reviewing prior communications. The ticketing/task system is also tied together so we can see all related work and communication for our customers.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
Could have more communication about updates and easier/better training methods for configuring your business's settings.

I love being able to track my progress on projects, the breakdown of tasks within the project and time spent working on each task. It helps to prioritize my to-do list and stay focused.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
I would like the site to be more visually appealing. It can be hard to track my daily timesheet through the activity chart at the top- and when I go to edit my timesheet, it often changes my numbers/time inputted which can make a big impact on my timesheet.

It is solving a lot of organizational problems by keeping all project management and tasks in one place where the entire team can see it. It is great being able to not only track what I am working on, but see what my team is working on as well.

I love that when you create an invoice, you can easily hit the BACK button without fear that you have just destroyed all of the work you created. This program is wonderful!!

The only complaint I have is that when a transaction is created and a number generated, if you have other transactions that you would like to add to an invoice, for instance, you created an invoice, and it was finished, but now you would like to add another transaction to the same invoice, you cannot pull the original in. You have to add it in on a line, but it doesn't pull the original transaction number into it.

Accelo provides us plenty of benefits that we avail ourselves of each and every day. We can assign and track tasks and their status. We have customizable dashboards and the workflow automation here is just incredible. Being a project manager, management was the most difficult task but now I have everything under control with this powerful project management platform.

What do you like best about Accelo?
Being able to link email chains to their respective client and/or project is by far the best detail. Being able to set up project templates has also been invaluable, in our other software we would have to copy task lists and hope we didn't mess something up.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
The billing dashboard's inability to add columns to sort, currently have to use filters, which is insufficient for overview. I'd like to be able to see all invoices, and at a glance see if they've been sent, if they've been paid, etc. Second to that would be the mobile app, it is nowhere near the capabilities of the web version and is sorely in need of some love and attention.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
Make sure you know exactly what it is you want to achieve with this software. The upfront cost is a bit high, but if you play your cards right you can get significant help in setting up your workflows and templates as your point of contact will create them all and make adjustments for you. Also, pay attention during the calls. If you pay attention and do the "homework" they give you, making backend changes after go-live will be much simpler for you.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved from Monday to Accelo, we needed the ability to link projects and clients and have everything centralized and easy to find. Tasks no longer fall through the cracks, and I can assign and properly track time per task/client.

I appreciate how robust Accelo is and how customizable it can be for different scenarios. We have found ways to streamline our more time-consuming processes, like entering projects, by creating templates. Features like this make Accelo very functional for my firm.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
There are times we have very specific needs and find that the functionality isn't working for us in that regard. For example, our firm sets up various types of retainers and we are unable to customize the setup of a retainer to fit our objective. We have found workarounds but it's not ideally how the product should function.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
The user and their firm must understand how they plan to use Accelo and in their implementation be able to talk through those needs. Also, it's worth it to invest in the Accelerated program.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
By streamlining processes, we are able to spend less time trying to get projects/tasks set up and more time focusing on the work. It's beneficial to us that we also have a way of documenting the flow of work so that's one way our project templates work for us.
