"PDC Converter works very good"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
The PDF converter is one of the smoothest services we are using since years. Using it since a long time. This holds true for the old server implementation for SharePoint on premise and Nintex and now for SharePoint Online and Power Automate. Customer support is great.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
Nothing ..................................
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
Converting any kind of document to PDF with Power Automate.
"A cut above"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
Exceptional customer service-Superior product
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
So far in my experience dealing with Nutrient there is nothing I dislike.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
450k documents-Convert multiple file types (.doc,.tif,.jpg,.xls,.xlsx,.msg) to PDF, Barcoding PDF with specific parameters(ID from subfolder-static), convert page size PDF. Current software vendor left us in a bind with flaky API, needed a short notice solution to prepare documents for importing files outside of API. I was very suprised by the level of customer service given to a new customer with a tight deadline. POC within 48 hours, then quote and purchase, implemented custom solution within a week.
"The best tool for the job"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
When researching potential solutions to our public library's need to surface and make accessible historical documents to the public, I was faced with many products of varing cost that were fraught with "gotchas", high technical barriers, or frankly too many downsides to want to invest in. Nutrient's PDFKit was the perfect fit for our needs: fast, straightforward, and fully accessible and flexible right out of the box. The integration was easy, and their friendly technical support made sure of that. They also ensured that we had a working example running on our end before purchasing a license, to make sure that we would be happy before committing. — Now that we've implemented the solution, City residents are actively enjoying learning about their community's history.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
If I had to pick a downside to using Nutrient's PDFKit, it would only be due to the fact that our budget was quite limited from the outset. As a public institution, there are certain budgetary rules and limits we must abide, else we would need to seek permission from the City Council. Nutrient's sales representative worked diligently with us to provide a very steep discount off of the yearly license fee, taking into account that, as an institution, we are a public good, letting us stay below that special request threshold.
The service, support, and encouragement have been fantastic. Afterward, our sales representative contacted us a few weeks later to see how we were doing. I emailed him our new digital archive link, and he revealed he and some of his colleagues were having a fun time looking through our archival newspapers about our city dating back to the 1960s. They love to see what people accomplish with their solutions.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nutrient's PDFKit SDK made short work of what, from the outset, was a difficult engineering problem: implementing the most robust PDF viewer for our project. There are many alternatives, ranging from cheap to expensive, or even open source libraries (if you have the requisite engineering talent employed to implement and maintain those libraries, and troubleshoot them), however none of those, in our experience, were as robust yet easy to implement.
Accessibility, as a public institution, is paramount to us when considering technical solutions. The right solution often must not simply be feasible, but welcoming, intuitive, and flexible for the public, regardless of background or disability. Only Nutrient's PDFKit met these high standards we strive for.
"Much better than building custom"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
- We had built PDF editing & manipulation in-house, Nutrient made this 10x easier and had a lot of great built-in functions.
- Docs are much better than competitor options, made the implementation process easy
- Our AE Alex & solutions eng. were very helpful in answering feature-related questions
- It's a great all-in-one solution at a reasonable price point, and works with our infra + security model.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
- Some of our features we didn't have in our custom implementation also aren't available in Nutrient, like pulling TextLayer content in a rotated PDF.
- Some bugs that aren't made clear in documentation (like custom SVGs for toolbar not working)
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be able to manipulate and annotate PDFs. We built it custom but it lacked a lot of features. Nutrient had many features built-in already which saved us months of developer time. For example, native PDF annotations; marquee zoom; server-side rendering for better performance.
"Professional quality product, professionally delivered"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
The sales team were straightforward; the product did what they promised. When there was a minor issue with a product key not working, they responded quickly and sorted it out
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
The potential complexity & escalating cost of signing up for extra domains for each new customer to access our use of the PSPDFKit SDK
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying key texts within PDFs, highlighting it & displaying it
"PDF SDK Tool Worth Reviewing"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
Our needs are very specific and the flexibility of PSPDFKit SDK helped us achieve all of our goals. The online documentation is extremely well done compared to what you would find for other generic technology solutions. The API documentation specifically was very strong which went a long way in helping us integrate our solution to fit our needs.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
I reviewed a few different solutions in the PDF toolkit space and I would have to say that this is a negative in all of them. These pricing structures can be complex and NEED to be understood fully before moving forward with purchase. However, out of all of the solutions that I reviewed, PSPDFKit was the one that walked me through their pricing the best and didn't make me feel like I was going to get fleeced.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
PSPDFKit SDK allows our people to open and modify PDFs directly on our website. The interface that we have developed together allows us to present a more polished end product and increased functionality that we might not have been able to have provided otherwise.
"Great tool that covers one of our product's core functionalities."
What do you like best about Nutrient?
Ease of integration on the back-end and front-end side (we use JS, iOS, and Android SDKs).
Responsive support and development team covers tricky document conversion issues.
Our DevOps team has no issues with updates in our K8S cluster - it was always a breeze.
The front-end annotation tool is very easy to use and highly appreciated by our users.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
Some complex bug reports may take more time to resolve.
The JS bundle could be smaller.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
PSPDFKit solves a crucial part of our flow allowing teachers to annotate student's submitted work that then can be reviewed by students and their parents.
Students submit their work in different formats and PSDPFKit handles the PDF conversion.
Also, we're utilizing the previews functionality both to preview the entire documents on the web and to generate thumbnails for the list views of the documents.
"Business Partners of PSPDFKit SDK"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
Their engagement as a partner and working to fit our needs. Their product delivers exactly what we need with ease, but their partnership to work through any obstacles is what I admire. I know my concerns, questions or needs will be dealt with promptly with thoughtful concideration and engagement.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
Nothing comes to mind currently. Their product and team are both helpful and professional.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization is global. Our toolsets must fit our global need. Many times the "out of box" capabilities of applications we leverage do not provide the scalability necessary to deal with the various language translations and complexity that delivering global products require. PSPFDFKit SDK solve that need with ease that make it easy to do business.
"PSPDF tools were used to upgrade a variety of PDF capabilities within the DWR eDiscovery platform"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
The PDF viewing and processing tools are fast and efficient, and the redaction and annotation capabilites were exceptional. This will be a huge advantage for our users. No other package offered the same functions and performance at a very reasonable price point.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
Initial setup and development; dupport and documentation were not great, and the initial payment was complicated requiring a wire-transfers rather than more traditional payment methods. The requirement to perform functions through a browser/Javascript made development a little tricky.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modernize PDF manipulation; allow redactions of PDF files; allow annotations and fast viewing of large (5,000+ page) PDF files
"Excellent library for manipulating PDF documents"
What do you like best about Nutrient?
Reliable, feature rich PDF editing platform. The ability to create annotations, dynamically fill forms, etc. has been incredibly useful. The documentation provided by PSPDFKit has made integration into our platform predictable and without any 'gotchas'. We've not needed to reach out to their support team (it's been very reliable), however, I would expect the experience to be every bit as responsive as the rest of their customer success and account management team - which have been easy to communicate with.
What do you dislike about Nutrient?
The cost to utilize the SDK can be prohibitive for small startups. I would prefer a pricing plan that allowed an easier level of entry which would make early stages within a startup more affordable.
What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are various SDK's/libraries available for working with PDFs, however, the open source libraries available do not come close to covering the many use-cases that are provided by PSPDFKit. The ability to quickly integrate the SDK into an existing project has made it a key component in the features utilized by several of our customers.
